@MarathonDevTeam Excellent response, but you guys cannot just let him off scott free. I don't think Perma Ban is necessary, but it would be a severely bad move if he isn't suspended for like the rest of the season and the first month of season 2. Like you guys can't just not do something.

Over the weekend, a player posted a video of them taking advantage of a map issue and going out of bounds to gain access into the Compiler room to ambush a team after they finished completing the encounter. First off, we will have this issue fixed before Cryo Archive becomes available again. In the past, we have not taken action against players going out of bounds, but due to this case heavily affecting other players negatively, we'll be reviewing our policies and sharing more details soon. While we don't want to punish players for bugs that they run into by accident, we will communicate more clearly the line that players should not cross when it comes to using these sorts of bugs that could be griefing others. We will be reaching out to the affected players to grant them compensation for having their successful run interrupted by this issue.

Footage of the Marathon players view when @NAPainter_ and crew exploited their way into the Compiler clear room and jumped a team as they were doing the Compiler boss fight on Cryo Archive. For clarity, there is not supposed to be any way into this room unless you beat compiler. Painter spent hours discovering a map exploit where he could "out of bounds" from the map and get into that room and jump people who were finally getting their compiler kills. He's on his stream right now gloating that he's spoken to a Bungie dev about it and they promised they wouldn't ban him for it so now him and his party are running it all night to ruin peoples compiler runs. @asalisbury / @Ziegler_Dev ....did someone from @MarathonDevTeam really tell him that he wouldn't get banned for this? Because this sucks.

COD social experiment: Drop your age and the COD that defined your taste during its actual release cycle. Not the one you discovered years later. The one you lived through when everyone was playing it. I want to see if every COD generation has its own split. For some it’s the OG MW trilogy or OG Black Ops. For my generation, born around the early 2000s, the real split was more like BO3 vs MW2019. Same franchise, completely different idea of what “real COD” should feel like.

idk if this is a hot take but yeah they should absolutely prioritize destiny over marathon i love marathon and think its super fun but this idea that it has anywhere near the same upside and potential that destiny does is crazy

Every day on here, I am reminded that people are seriously affected by the destiny story and view the light and dark saga as the end of the game. Don’t get me wrong, I have 13k hours on the game I’ve payed attention and I’m invested but I don’t really care at the same time. The story quality can only be a plus never a negative they could be spewing some straight bullshit but if the game is fun to play idgaf I’m gonna sink another 13k into it. Apparently I’m in the minority with this stance though

in the grand scheme of things i don't even think marathon matters all too much. bungie straight up had destiny 2 in a good state and then added the portal and lost the entire player base yet will not remove it because they're convinced they can fix it

@personalhimbo I feel like the portal takes away from the exploration aspect Destiny promoted for so long - if the directory was still the default and portal was a side thing to help people quickly get to activities, that would be fine.
