Even the best reviews of his albums are always laced with some kind of shame, an excuse for why a given critic likes Harry's album, why they think it's good, and why they can never simply write that it's great. Harry is so integrated with current pop culture that sometimes it overshadows everything else.
@alterlife_mp3 I don't think anything from Harry, even the most experimental, will satisfy critics. Harry comes from boyband roots, and for that reason, he's already written off among "music nerds."
@hsmorphine Besides, some music becomes popular over time. Streaming isn't always dominated by the newest releases; they gain popularity over time. This has been happening quite often lately.
@BlueBlueBetty and charts/streams fluctuate so much with so many trendy artists releasing constant music. The fact that he’s a staple of current pop music is beyond words!
Also, he’s doing amazing in terms of overall performance. A number one album with a number one hit and a current top 10 single (all globally) and a stadium tour.
There are millions (and I’m not exaggerating) of musicians out there and Harry is among the 50 most popular ones!
@hsmorphine You don't make money from streaming. The biggest, real money comes from concerts, and we already know Harry will make a huge amount from them this year.
Do you guys measure and put into perspective how crazy that is?! I dont care if the streams fall a bit, thousands of people listen to his music everyday. He’s already living a dream, and he’s delivering great music on top of that.
@alterlife_mp3 It's different from what's on the charts, more experimental, indie, and these days people struggle with something new and unexpected. I think both Harry and his team knew this and weren't expecting much. I think their expectations were exceeded anyway.
