“Genocide” is a legal accusation requiring proof of intent to destroy a people. It is not established by celebrity declarations or virtue signaling.
Israel was attacked by a terrorist organization that massacred civilians, took hostages, and committed depraved acts of sexual violence.
That same terrorist organization still openly calls for Israel’s destruction.
This is a war, Javier.
Civilian deaths in war, however tragic, are not themselves proof of genocide.
And reducing this war to “genocide” while erasing Hamas’s actions and stated goals does nothing to advance human rights or peace for Palestinians.
