@BlueFlash09 Don’t marry anyone who tries to force you to be someone you’re not. I never liked Chichi. Even at the end of the Cell Games, Goku chose to stay dead instead of going back to Chichi. And originally, the Cell Games was supposed to close out DBZ.

Growing up as a DBZ fan, I always hated that Goku was married to Chichi & believe that this pairing was wrong, unearned by Chichi & completely forced. Even now, I believe that Goku should have been paired with Bulma and not Chichi because Goku’s dynamic & bond with Bulma before Vegeta meshed together. Knowing now that Akira Toriyama’s editor wanted Goku & Bulma to fall in love & that Toriyama went against that validates why I always believe that Goku being with Chichi never felt right.

@ChannelSonamy Funnily enough, Toriyama actually admitted that whenever he wrote Chi-Chi, it was a punishment on himself. If your mate is trying to change you, don’t stay with them. For as long as Goku and Chi-Chi have been together, you’d think she’d accept that he’s a warrior.

Chichi was a self-entitled spoiled princess and I believe the late Akira Toriyama forced Goku into a marriage with Chichi to spite his editor. Throughout Dragon Ball Z, you can see how toxic Goku’s relationship with Chichi was and how she was always trying to force Goku to live a lifestyle that doesn’t fit with who he is.
