Regardless of your opinion on Operation Epic Fury or your political affiliation, we have the greatest military in the world. Its strength lies not just in power, but in the courage, discipline, and sacrifice of our troops. God bless our men and women in uniform.

@JesusKoK123 @rogerecoff And that has nothing to do with causing anything. If you cannot understand the difference between being in control and controlling then there isn’t much point in talking any further. You are conflating knowing the end with necessarily causing every minute thing along the way.

@BlueGiant42 @rogerecoff “In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will,” Ephesians 1:11 ESV It literally says He work all things ! All things means all things 🤣

Yesterday James White had a Calvinist debate with a Mormon As I predicted, it sounds like it went pretty bad for James. He tried to explain how a God who ordains all sin and eternal damnation is not a Monster Calvinism makes the heresies of Mormonism look good

@beefalo123 @rogerecoff You don’t worship the Jesus of th Bible. That’s the whole point. Mormons are the most polytheistic of all religions. You think elohim and Jesus are just men who ascended to godhood and you can too. The Bible is clear there is one God who was always God from before creation.

@BlueGiant42 @rogerecoff If you worship a flowerpot, that’s idolatry … not Christianity.
We worship Jesus Christ; the Christ of the Bible and center our lives on Him. Once again, you’re twisting what we believe. Disagree if you want, but misrepresenting it isn’t truth it’s bearing false witness

@JesusKoK123 @rogerecoff Regeneration never ever even once precedes faith. None of those verses comes close to saying it. However the consistent refrain from all of scripture is come to me that you might live. Believe and you will have life.

@BlueGiant42 @rogerecoff Causally (not casually), regeneration precedes faith. Again, 1 Cor 2. Also John 6.44. Also John 6.65.

Regardless of your opinion on Erika Kirk, you have you admit, trying to convince us to support a war her husband died condemning by using the troops as a pawn is a little suspicious.

@BlueGiant42 @rogerecoff The text does not assert God merely knows the outcomes; rather, it promulgates He “…works all things…” (Ep. 1.11)

@JesusKoK123 @rogerecoff Continue reading John 3. Nicodemus makes the false connection with natural birth. Jesus runs with it and makes clear that while you don’t make yourself born again you become born again by believing (3:15-16). So you believe so as to live. You done become alive so as to believe

@JesusKoK123 @rogerecoff You are confusing necessary conditions with conditions that necessitate an outcome. In Calvinism God determined the capacity, the intentions, the decision, the action, and the outcome. There is no agency.

@beefalo123 @rogerecoff If I call my flowerpot Christ and center my life on it am I a Christian? Joseph Smith in his own words claimed that the two separate gods elohim and Jesus appeared to him and told him all the current denominations were false.

@BlueGiant42 @rogerecoff Why do you feel the need to twist truths? You can’t Stand on your own truths? To be Christian is to center your life on Christ. To practice his teachings and to follow him. JS never said all other are fake he said they have part of the truth.

@JesusKoK123 @rogerecoff No. Knowing the outcome does not logically entail determining every step along the way. When police set up a sting operation do they force the criminals to do crimes? No.

@BlueGiant42 @rogerecoff You asked for a text that discusses the preconditions that necessitate the outcome of everything we do. 1 Ep. 11 states YHWH works ALL THINGS according to His will. Does all things not encompass outcomes ? Are you saying wisdom is NOT universal?

@LonghornJoker The perpetual equivocation on this discussion is so stupid. God has no mother because He is eternal. Jesus had a physical mother but that was not His beginning. Stop playing motte and bailey over categories.

@beefalo123 @rogerecoff Literally not. Joseph Smith himself would excommunicate you for implying we are the same religion. He explicitly stated that all the Christian churches are fakes and he was making the only real one. But he was a con man and made it all up.

@JesusKoK123 @rogerecoff Eph 1 repeatedly emphasizes IN HIM and is referring to sanctification of believers. Again it says nothing about inability or free will. Proverbs are wisdom, not universal statements. That said these only speak of outcomes not determinism of all things.

@JesusKoK123 @rogerecoff Your first point is exactly the logical incoherence. If God decrees every thought, desire, and action then there is no way to logically claim agency. 1 Cor 2 is writing to Christians. It’s about not getting into complex theology before the basics. Doesn’t say you can’t believe.
