Israel struck that Iranian gas field knowing it would put American troops at even greater risk. They did it anyway, without even consulting the U.S.. They’re not an ally, they’re an enemy.

If two sides are saying different things, your first step in deciphering who is lying should be asking yourself who has more to gain by lying and who has more to lose by telling the truth.

I’ve not seen CONinc. come for anybody as hard as they’re coming for @joekent16jan19 right now. It’s obvious that criticism of Israel is not tolerated in OUR government, and it’s obvious that this smear campaign is coordinated. Their rebuttal is: “Joe said before that Iran was a threat.” “Joe told Tucker the CIA was spying on him.” The truth is, Iran is a threat. But, Joe said they weren’t an IMMINENT threat. More specifically, an imminent nuclear threat is what he was referring to as we were all being told Iran was. Joe was right on both accounts. Iran is a threat, but not an imminent nuclear threat. Every country is a threat. Why aren’t we invading China? Because it’s not strategically advantageous to Israel. That’s the honest truth. Invading Iran is not strategically advantageous for the U.S… it’s just not. He was also right to tell Tucker (if he in fact did) that he was being illegally spied on by his own government. We beg for transparency and honesty. When we finally get it, your first instinct is to believe the same media and pundits that are telling you Epstein trafficked little girls to himself? You can’t be that ignorant. When you see a swath of CONinc promoting the same message, almost verbatim, you gotta be at least a little suspicious. Israel has taken our government and political system hostage. Someone in a position of power finally had the balls to say it. You should stand behind Joe in support. He did that for you.

That’s actually what our government wanted. They wanted thousands of WIAs & KIAs so they can make this very argument. When you invade and occupy a region, the population you’re invading is probably gonna fight back. China killed 1.2M Americans via covid. Why aren’t we invading China? I’ll tell you why. Because it’s not a strategic move for Israel.

He was a @DNIGabbard’s Chief of Staff, then was appointed to Director of the National Counterterrorism Center at ODNI. In those roles he had access to more intel than he ever had. Honest people change their opinions sometimes when given more - accurate - information. Their country is more important than self-preservation, and they’re not beholden to a paycheck.

Joe Kent@joekent16jan19

@realDonaldTrump We should not sit and wait for the next attack, wipe Iran's ballistic capability out and get our troops out of Iraq - they are only targets now. No US WIA/KIA is a tribute to the professionalism of our military and intel professionals not Iranian restraint.

I know what my grandfather would say about what Kent wrote in his letter. He was a Marine. He fought on Iwo Jima.  He was Jewish. He’d be furious. I know for a fact Kent leaked to Tucker Carlson a meeting the President had with me, at the President’s request, which Carlson in turn used on the internet.  No President should be treated like that.   Apparently, there were more. Not good. And the appalling antisemitism in Kent’s public letter deserves judgment, which is why so many of all faiths are condemning it.

@PressSec Let’s see the overwhelming compelling evidence of this unprovoked attack by Iran then. I mean, there’s no need for it to be classified anymore since we’ve thwarted it. Right?

There are many false claims in this letter but let me address one specifically: that "Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation."   This is the same false claim that Democrats and some in the liberal media have been repeating over and over.   As President Trump has clearly and explicitly stated, he had strong and compelling evidence that Iran was going to attack the United States first.   This evidence was compiled from many sources and factors. President Trump would never make the decision to deploy military assets against a foreign adversary in a vacuum.   Iran is the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism. The Iranian regime is evil. It proudly killed Americans, waged war against our country, and openly threatened us all the way up to the launch of Operation Epic Fury.   Iran was aggressively expanding their short-range ballistic missiles to combine with their naval assets to give themselves immunity – meaning they would have a degree of a capabilities that would give them immunity to hold us and the rest of the world hostage.   The regime aimed to use those ballistic missiles as a shield to continue achieving their ultimate goal – nuclear weapons.   The President, through his top negotiators, gave the regime every single possible opportunity to abandon this unacceptable course by permanently giving up their nuclear ambitions in exchange for sanctions relief, free nuclear fuel, and potential economic partnerships with our country.   But they would not say yes to peace because obtaining nuclear weapons was their fundamental goal.   President Trump ultimately made the determination that a joint attack with Israel would greatly reduce the risk to American lives that would come from a first strike by the terrorist Iranian regime and address this imminent threat to America’s national security interests.   All of this led to President Trump arriving at the determination that this military operation was necessary for U.S. national security, which is why he launched the massively successful Operation Epic Fury. The Commander-in-Chief determines what does and does not constitute a threat, because he is the one constitutionally empowered to do so - and because the American people went to the ballot box and entrusted him and him alone to make such final judgments. And finally, the absurd allegation that President Trump made this decision based on the influence of others, even foreign countries, is both insulting and laughable. President Trump has been remarkably consistent and has said for DECADES that Iran can NEVER possess a nuclear weapon. As someone who actually witnesses President Trump’s decision-making process on a daily basis, I can attest to the fact that he is always looking to do what’s in the best interest of the United States of America — period. America First.

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC. May God bless America.

.@joekent16jan19 is an American hero. The attacks from Israeli bots and Israel First pundits/politicians have already begun. He fought on the ground in these corrupt Middle East wars. He lost his wife because of these corrupt Middle East wars. He’s got more credibility than any one of these Epstein First shills.

@MattForVA @joekent16jan19 He seems like he went native. No man in his position should say that Iran does not pose an imminent threat to us, especially as we MOPped up their nuclear program during his tenure.
