@iyanlafixmytv D5 feels like it's bringing that chemistry, campy vibe back, while keeping its OWN vibe for the trilogy, which makes the story easier to invest in even if the plot is still moving too fast. But due to not having a set cast for the trilogy, it was forced to add new PRESENT stuff.

@iyanlafixmytv Personally, the original trilogy wasn't really great at plotting either. D1, D2, and D3 mostly ran on vibes, chemistry, and the cast's charisma. D4 lacked a lot of that: no standard cast outside of Red and Chloe, the villains were very confusing to get into, etc.

@iyanlafixmytv Well, to be honest, that's what Descendants is known for; we just have so many new characters to cover. It's interesting: D3 pulled so many characters together, but it was ones we had time with.
