Not “give me 11 perfect players and I’ll build a system.” We all agree that Fabregas inherited an unbalanced squad, couldn't make signings, and still found solutions. Two No.10s at full-back, changing the defensive structure first, adapting to the players he had. I think the best coaches don't wait for ideal conditions. They create them.💙

Cesc Fabregas on the state of Como when he took over: 🗣 “They gave me a group of lads. I couldn’t sign anyone. We had three defenders, seven midfielders and 11 strikers or something like this. I had to invent. I was playing with two No 10s as full-backs. The team played 5-4-1, a lot of counter-attacks and defended very deep. I couldn’t change everything straight away in the middle of the season. So I preferred to change the defensive phase more than the offensive side.
