Its not very well understood, and often hopelessly over-marketed. LINKEDIN is full of 3D printed metal hydraulics manifolds. Nobody wants to mention that to be used they have to be put in a 5 axis CNC to have all the hydraulics ports threaded, that the threads are useless as the`ve been printed net-shape, and even if they werent youd need to spotface them anyway, and that you might just as well have machined it from a block by the time you add up all the effort.

The state of F1 as an entertainment product has never been better. But as a sporting product it's being washed away 9/10 F1 related post I've seen this weekend don't show a car or anything competition relevant. Influencer/celeb, and consumeristic material are filling the space

@jsaladcaprese @watchesofespion According to my internet research, which may or may not be true, the grand seiko is more accurate than any other automatic watch.....just not as accurate as a casio. I have a seiko I wear to weddings and such. My daily needs to show the exact time. A rolex won't.

@BoSeppenfield @watchesofespion I have found that unless it's a Rolex, most people do not care. A Grand Seiko is, to me, a lot nicer looking and has a better movement. To most, it's just another Seiko. Like people who go to the gym and get buff. The only compliments you end up getting are from other dudes

@jsaladcaprese @watchesofespion Indeed. Automatic watches are awesome pieces of machinery, much more difficult to manufacture than casios ,and requiring skilled craftsman to make them....hence the expense. They just suck at keeping time. Even the best. Great for impressing chick's, though.
