I had a double faced foil recently and was curious why that bitch wasnt curling super hard and then i realized it really is trying its hardest to curl but since its foil on both sides theyre pulling on each other and keeping the card flat

Cowboy Bob agreed to not win in seat 4 when Kinnan seat 3 cast a bassalt and a dismember was shown. Then, proceed to agree to not flip ral when shown interaction that stopped flip. Later flipped, pushed and won that turn. Made top 16. Trash!

@bashmcalister its tru, magic builds worlds very well but also does a pretty poor job at conveying its story and characters. i doubt even 1% of drafters knows the plotline to Secrets of Strixhaven. there's a reason that WotC is now leaning so hard on other people's characters through UB.

No one gives a shit about Magic’s IP. They don’t have characters like Ahri or Luffy that people resonate with and want to spend $40k collecting.
Magic cards are valuable bc of playability (mostly).
Until that changes, expect $0.50 prizing to continue.

@alsonamedjosh its not always the most fun way to play, that is until your opponents start getting really pissed off, at which point it becomes a very fun way to play

There's just too many threats in games that build too fast in commander these days I can't afford to not bump my board wipes count up a bit.

@mtgbanding Magic players take a lot of pride in strictly treating the cards as game pieces, which is indeed insane behavior considering the sheer mass of high quality artistry on display.

@SaffronOlive WotC should do what other games do and sell a Secret Lair where a portion of the sales go to fund the prize pool of the Pro Tour.

I'm pretty sure the issues with Pro Tour prize support could be fixed for very little real cost to Wizards by printing better promos like other games do.
