@joelgombiner I got for nightly walks in my neighborhood which mostly consists of families with kids and also seniors. I see the seniors out for walks and sitting in the park. Then i see all the families just hanging inside, big TV on. It's amazing to see the fields and playgrounds empty.

Walking through Loyal Heights and Sunset Hills on a beautiful summer evening last night Block after block of beautiful homes and yards... Not a single person out for a walk or on their porch... No kids playing in the streets...Just completely dead

@TheNasher61 EA probably doesn't want to put any effort into a mode that they can't make extra money off. Dissapointing for customers that have been paying full price every year for over 30 years.

Been thinking a bit on the #NHL27 GM Connected news… We waited 13+ years for the return of GM Connected and after all that time, this has got to be the most barebones mode ever released. For the last few years, EA has talked about dedicating a team and resources to bringing this mode back. I think it’s fair to not have EVERY Franchise Mode feature in to start (Drafting, Developing, AI controlled teams, etc.) but to have NONE of them is crazy. It’s just impossible to believe this is 1-3 years of work. Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited to jump in with friends and viewers. We’ll have a ton of fun moments and great content come from it…but it’s also fair to say people will be disappointed. The community needed and deserved more. I hope this is truly the start of something great and EA continues building it into the mode we’ve all been asking for. I’m just worried that the lack of features will cause people to quit the mode entirely. Then we’ll hear about how “no one plays it” as it stops getting developer support. A proper GM Connected could be one of the most played modes in the game if done correctly. Time will tell. Let’s hope for the best.

@TheNasher61 Why the barriers around Franchise and Connected Franchise? In either game mode the user should be able to invite an online or couch play friend to play together against cpu, or against each other. Allowing both users to select the side.

@EASPORTSNHL Whether it's Franchise Mode or Franchise Connected Mode, I should be able to invite an online friend to play with me against cpu, or against me. Why is this all locked down? It's not like they don't have the ability to do this @EASPORTSNHL

If you pay for your VPN through the Canadian banking system (eg. credit card), the government can compel the banks to hand over a list of those who've paid for VPN. Then, with the new powers of Bill C-8, a government Minister can cancel your internet without a court order.

That game was completely riveting. An instant classic. Heck of a Stanley Cup Final series we have on our hands.

@JohnRichTV some other company needs to make a world of chel type of online hockey game, without NHL licensing and all the bad music. use screen space properly, make proper menus, have a way to prefer or not prefer online players to avoid goofballs, have proper matchmaking based off skill...

Just downloaded NHL 26. First hockey video game I’ve played in over a decade. It’s incredible how much worse EA Sports managed to make what used to be a near perfect game
