#DRC While @US_SrAdvisorAF meets the Congolese authorities in DC, while the Banyamulenge community demonstrates in DC against the atrocities committed against their people… this video shows a glimpse of what they suffer from Tshisekedi @Presidence_RDC army who are incapable of winning a single battle against the M23 or Twirwaneho… but excel as torturers of innocent cattle herders

“We find these powers who want to impress upon us that we really don’t have much, we don’t mean much, we can only survive because of them. This notion has to be challenged, and has to be challenged by all of us.” President Kagame #WPC2026

Someone’s in a bitter mood, maybe grab something sweet and lighten up a bit. You’ll be just fine.

Let us not forget: even Dag Hammarskjöld, the first UN Secretary-General to die in office, lost his life in 1961 while on a mission to help bring peace to the DRC. The issue is not a lack of knowledge, it is that those imposing sanctions often act to protect interests, not truth. Thank you ⁦@FaraiMuvuti⁩ for speaking with clarity.
Joseph Kabakeza@JKabakeza

Reading this from a non Rwandan with no ties to #Rwanda indicates that truth has come to open and the world of the big will know where they got it wrong! Thanks ⁦@FaraiMuvuti

I met H.E. Mr. Emmanuel Ugirashebuja, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Rwanda. We discussed the importance of remembering the destruction that a genocide could bring, and our obligation to never again allow it to happen.

I agree. The African Union doesn’t suffer from a lack of ideas it suffers from a lack of implementation. The reforms championed by Paul Kagame were bold, clear, and necessary. But reforms don’t fail on paper, they fail in practice. Too many commitments, too little follow-through. Sovereignty is invoked to avoid action, while collective progress is delayed. Africa doesn’t need another reform agenda. It needs leaders willing to implement, finance, and be held accountable. Until then, transformation will remain a promise, not a reality.
Sophie Mokoena@Sophie_Mokoena

The AU introduced reforms few years ago when president Paul Kagame was the chairperson and the AU later asked him to continue with that work. How many times must the continental body introduce reforms? It’s not about reforms the AU has challenges of leadership. The continental body is as strong as its leadership.

#Kwibuka32 | “Like many survivors, I speak today with pain, but also with purpose. I was born and raised in Bugesera District, in Ntarama Sector, about 20 miles south of Rwanda's capital. When I was just four years old, I lost my mother. From that time on, I lived with my grandmother, Caroline. Then came April 1994. We ran to a place we believed would protect us. That place was Ntarama Catholic Church. I sat on the left side of the church, in the front third row, close to my grandmother. We believed that if we were going to die, we would go straight to heaven. That was the only comfort we had left. By April 15, thousands had been killed in that church and around it. I lost my grandmother, Caroline. I lost my brothers, Fils, Eric, and Rukara. I lost family members, neighbors, and friends.” - Mr. Serge Gasore, Survivor of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. 🔗: news.un.org/en/story/2026/…

“It is you, survivors, that we turned to when we asked the unimaginable: Forgiveness. At the heart of this #genocide lies the failure of the international community to act despite clear, and early warnings. These warnings were ignored, with catastrophic consequences. It is equally troubling that some countries continue to provide safe haven to #genocide suspects. Those responsible must either be extradited to #Rwanda or prosecuted wherever they are found. #Genocide is a crime that transcends borders, and justice must follow suit. We are also confronted with the persistence of #genocide denial. In parts of the subregion, a striking example occured when a national television aired an interview with a military spokesperson urging citizens not to marry Tutsi women. These words are not harmless. They echo the rhetoric that fueled the #genocide against the Tutsi, and serve as a warning that hate can escalate into atrocities.” - @Rwanda_Justice Minister Emmanuel Ugirashebuja at the @UN 32nd Commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in #Rwanda. 🔗Read #Rwanda’s National Statement: tinyurl.com/2eumysaf

Remember. Renew. Unite. Twibuke Twiyubaka. 32 years later, Rwanda has shown the world that even after the darkest chapter, a nation can rise with dignity, resilience, and purpose. On this day, we pause to remember the genocide against the Tutsi people in Rwanda, 32 years ago. May the memory of all the victims be a solemn reminder that the duty to prevent atrocities is one we must never set aside.
