Quick personal note: Growing up, I was never able to play hockey because my family couldn’t afford it. Today, I’m finally able to and I’ll be getting on the ice for the first time in about an hour. Wish it could’ve happened 20 years ago, but it’s better late than never.

My recollection (I was 14 at the time) was that this trade came about because they were scrambling to plug gaps,making other bad trades, after trading Paul Coffey. Coffey went, then millen and some other guys to try and plug up the defence and then this garbage trade. And then the owner went to prison or something lol. Good times!

I've found the hockey version of knockout limited. With 14U or 12U we usually played within the face-off circle. Games didn't last more than a min & the kid who won was the one who left his puck behind while attacking the other. Here are some ideas that might spice it up. 🧵👇

@Boris4714116053 @NHLRussell It's not like he's just been bad lately, he's just not a very good NHL level hockey player. Just focus on 2 things when watching him play, breakouts and his gaps, and it will tell you everything you need to know about him.
