Taking time to remember the world’s greatest blues singer Bobby “Blue” Bland on his heavenly birthday today. What a legacy he left behind, with his decades of dynamite recordings and unbeatable live show. A legacy that lives on with his son, Rodd, who proudly carries it forward.

Happy Heavenly Birthday to my father @BobbyBlueBland. On this day in 2013 he turned 83, and we watched @TheRock win the @WWE championship at Royal Rumble on ppv. One last cool father/son memory before he passed away in June of that year. Today Blue would be 96! #BobbyBlueBland
