@MattyT99 @AcademyScoop Honest question: why consider Baleba this year after a very underwhelming season for Brighton? I still think that Brighton will overvalue him and his shortcomings this year look to be largely mental. Old Trafford is not a kind place to play for the mentally weak

@AcademyScoop Such the perfect ‘project’ signing alongside Baleba too. Getting both for 100m would be top business from united. Avoid these 100m midfielders unless we have a genuine shot at Anderson (best in class).

Mateus Fernandes is such a tap in for United this summer. Maybe the best value for money midfielder on the market if West Ham get relegated - perfect as the third MF signing if/when Ugarte leaves.

@Molson_Hart @bobbyfijan And there it is. You are just not in the strike zone yet for what Dallas does best which is providing a great place to raise a family with access to big city amenities

Let me explain Dallas(s) 1. The summers are unbearable and this cannot be understood without moving there. You can't just visit Texas for 3 weeks in peak summer and understand it, because that's not why it's bad. It's bad because it's late October and it's 90+ and you're questioning your sanity as to whether not it will ever end. 2. Dallas' culture, superficially seems good, but once you dig down... 3. Dallas living is about the airport. You save money in Dallas and then fly out all the time because being in Dallas is rough. Airline travel in the US has declined a lot, so this way of life works less well. 4. The driving. It's dangerous. You need a tank and you're going to be sitting in it all the time. Dallas sort of seems like a city but it's not really. It's more like an area. 5. You can trade 3% state income tax for better weather, more trees, and fewer problems. I think Dallas is a solid place to live in a bigger house with A/C and grind for money aggressively for a short period of time and then move out of. Other than that, unless you are tied down there (job, family), I can't recommend it.
Amy Nixon@texasrunnerDFW

I am astounded by the number of millennial families who moved to Dallas, bought a home, then turned around and sold the home to move out of Dallas, in less than a 5 year time span Is Dallas just super transient or is this a post-pandemic phenomenon happening everywhere?

@UnitedStandMUFC You know what's funny? Your figurehead @markgoldbridge repeatedly stating that we should have sold Bruno last summer and it was a MASSIVE mistake not to do so. He's quiet on that take now...

BREAKING: USMNT and AC Milan winger Christian Pulisic is ‘firmly on the radar’ of Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window, with the club accelerating plans to reshape their attacking options. Pulisic has just 12 months remaining on his current deal and there are currently no active negotiations over an extension following initial talks last year. Rafael Leao has been offered to United. However, insiders now suggest his AC Milan teammate Christian Pulisic is viewed as a potentially better fit for the club’s needs. Pulisic’s versatility is a major attraction. The 27-year-old has operated across the front line this season and has even been deployed as a false nine, underlining his tactical intelligence and adaptability in attacking roles. [TEAMTalk]

@Pokretni4 @UnitedStandMUFC Midfield is the greater need and an overlapping LB gives you some of the touch line width you are looking for. Cunha is too good not to be playing on the left side of that forward line

@UnitedStandMUFC We don’t have a proper LW, and you’re talking about a third CM. Two are enough with Kobbie Mainoo, Bruno Fernandes and Mason Mount. LW is a bigger priority than a 3rd CM or backup CF. Matheus Cunha and Patrick Dorgu aren’t natural LWs.

@ekmokaya @TheFergusonWay Brentford haven't lost in 10 matches. They are a decent side and we are in the middle of a transition, particularly in the middle of the pitch. Miles off? No. But we need 2-3 strategic upgrades on the pitch

🚨 | Bruno Fernandes has made it clear he wants to win the Premier League and Champions League, and sources close to the player believe he is seeking reassurances about #mufc's ambitions. Fernandes may wait to see how United's transfer plans unfold, but the club hope their strategy to build a squad capable of competing for the biggest trophies will resonate with their captain and talisman. @FPLfrasier Isn't most of the gap explained by the lack of Champions League football, i.e. the clause that wages go down by 25% if the team is not playing in the Champions League?

This right here is the reason we won’t be able to sign Anderson. The gap between United and City for wages is just huge. We don’t operate in the same market.
Chris@CWeatherspoon_

Full slate of Premier League wage bills from 2024-25 here, and pertinent following yesterday Arsenal wages up this year but total bill £121m (25%) lower than Man City last season once latter's costs outside #MCFC entity included (note: #MCFC includes lots more admin staff)

What would we have accomplished by getting a midfielder in January? If we can get Champions League without it, why buy a player who's not a long-term fit right now? And I don't think any player we could have loaned would have helped us make up a 15-point gap to the top of the table.

Others not saying it, I will just go ahead and say it. I think Ugarte has given up on United. Just didn’t like the way he played last game when he subbed on. It was like he wasn’t understanding the situation and playing however he liked. United should have signed a midfielder in January. Utterly irresponsible not to get a midfielder.

@Adroit_Cadet Curious what makes you think Wharton is a sniper. He's perceived as such but stats don't back him up in terms of recycling the ball, winning it, or progressing it compared to other mfs. Why not get someone more similar to Tonali having proven a Bruno G - Tonali pairing works well
