Ohio teacher ordered to take down poster that read—"Hate Has No Home Here." School board voted that it constituted "sexuality content"—because it contained a rainbow colored heart. Poster also featured the American flag and the peace sign. Teacher has now filed lawsuit against the school district—arguing that his First Amendment rights were violated when he was ordered to remove the anti-hate poster. His classroom also features a "COEXIST" poster with religious symbols from around the world—but the school board doesn't have a problem with that. One board member who voted to remove the poster later resigned—after posts on social media denying the Holocaust and praising Hitler were made public. I was a public defender for years, and what that job entails as much as anything is negotiating with government agents daily. I've a feeling everyone whose job is negotiating is asking the same thing I do daily: why would *anyone* negotiate with Trump, Kushner, or Witkoff? Ever?
