Being involved in sports has taught me many things—like how to more appropriately respond & work thru adversity & challenges. I’m a better husband, dad, son, sibling, friend, employee, colleague, supervisor, coach, & human because of it…& I’m thankful even on the toughest days.

Relationships matter. Too many coaches and players don't value them enough.

College Coaches. Do you come as advertised? When you tell mama's and daddies during the recruiting process, you're going to take care of their sons. Do you mean it? Do you build relationships with your players? Do you get to know them? Do you care about them as people or only as players? Do you go the extra mile for the ones that need help? Do you really care about them? and Do your players know you care about them?

You know what's probably stunting your growth as a player or coach? Your dumb ass ego. Shut up and do what's best for the team.

Welcome Jarrett Brunk to the NLB family. Brunk will assist Thornton Davis with NLB Underclass this fall and manage the 14u summer team. Jarrett Brunk is a recent graduate of Florida State University and a United States Army veteran, where he served honorably as a combat medic. He brings leadership, discipline, and a strong commitment to teamwork from his military background into the world of baseball coaching. Currently serving as an assistant coach at Leon High School in Tallahassee, Brunk is dedicated to developing players both on and off the field, emphasizing fundamentals, resilience, and character. His diverse experiences uniquely equip him to mentor athletes and contribute to a program’s success.
