Could it be possible that this young man who was sitting is from a different country visiting for the World Cup, who didn’t understand our custom of standing for the national anthem before games? Maybe he doesn’t even speak English and didn’t understand what this old man was saying. I don’t know the full context but hitting first and asking questions later is not the way to go.
