Je suis Alsacien. Mon grand-père a été déporté en camp de concentration. Mon père, incorporé de force dans la Wehrmacht comme malgré-nous, s’est retrouvé à Stalingrad. J’ai grandi avec ces récits, et j’ai beaucoup lu l’Histoire. C’est pour cela que, quand on nous parle aujourd’hui du "danger russe", je ne peux pas m’empêcher de sourire avec amertume. Car pour moi, le vrai danger historique pour la France et pour l’Europe, ce n’est pas la Russie. C’est l’Allemagne. On nous serine depuis des décennies le "couple franco-allemand". J’ai discuté de cela avec de nombreux Allemands. Ils sont très clairs : ce couple n’existe que dans la tête des Français. Pour eux, il n’a de réalité que lorsqu’il rapporte quelque chose à l’Allemagne. Quand il ne rapporte plus rien, il disparaît. Ils s’en fichent totalement. Seuls les Français continuent d’y croire avec une naïveté touchante. Aujourd’hui, l’Allemagne se réarme massivement. Elle ambitionne ouvertement de devenir la première armée d’Europe. Et nous, Français, nous regardons cela avec une sorte de bienveillance béate, comme si c’était normal, comme si l’Histoire n’existait pas. Je trouve cela d’un danger colossal. Une folie pure que de laisser faire cela sans réagir. Ce matin encore, sur CNews, Catherine Vautrin expliquait que « l’armée française est de loin la plus performante d’Europe ». C’est exactement ce que disaient nos généraux en 1914 et en 1939. L’Histoire nous a pourtant montré à quel point cette assurance peut être tragique. Regardez la réalité en face : la Russie, après quatre ans de guerre en Ukraine, peine à avancer de quelques kilomètres par mois. Elle est saignée, isolée économiquement, et loin de représenter une menace existentielle pour les pays d’Europe occidentale. Le "danger russe" que l’on agite constamment ressemble de plus en plus à une vaste blague. Le vrai danger, lui, est à notre porte. Il est à l’est de notre frontière. Et une fois de plus, beaucoup refusent de le voir. Moi, Alsacien, je dis simplement méfions-nous. L’Histoire ne se répète pas toujours, mais elle bégaye souvent. Et il serait criminel de l’oublier.

What Black ppl were fighting for pre-1994: 1. Getting their land back, which they were forcefully removed from, since 1913. 2. Being allowed to trade in the mainstream economy. 3. Access to the same quality of education as White ppl. 4. Access to the country's mineral wealth. 5. Black banks. 6. Jailing the leaders of Apartheid, along with their cops & soldiers 7. A country that serves Black ppl, uplifts them & shares the spoils of the economic wealth. -------------------------- What the ANC delivered instead, after negotiating with White capitalists: 1. Any land taken back or bought, is state-owned & is leased for cheap to politically-connected ppl. Most Black families have not got their land back. Black families were given money, without proper education on land vs. money. 2. Only politically-connected ppl got BEE deals & BEE funding. It's harder today to set up organizations, banks, insurance companies, etc. than pre-1994. 3. The quality of education for most Black ppl is worse than during Bantu Education days. 4. Mining is gatekept by the ANC & their ministers. Even artisinal mining is illegal. 5. You need R260mln to begin the process of getting a banking licence. That automatically excludes 99.99% of Black ppl. VBS was collapsed by political greed. Black banks like Ithala are stifled. State banks like Postbank are politically destroyed. 6. Apartheid enforcers were given amnesty through the TRC by Bishop Desmond Tutu. Struggle soldiers from APLA are still in jail. 7. A country that serves global capital firms, local rich ppl, the politically-connected, & keeps the majority poor. End.
