@TrentBuckle @Bogan_Geologist Yeah definitely not cheap but I don't think you'll find 5.5gt gold resources that are cheap in the current climate. Gotta remember Kidman gobbled up Bounty & surrounds in a $1500 gold environment with high AISCs... at present AISCs are constrained well beneath gold prices.

$MEK - who have been struggling with the ramp up, even during an OP oxide dominated period, and are facing capex bills for both UG development and a plant upgrade, did this.

@Justin_K000 That’s 4D chess if that’s the plan, but spending that cash on their own ground is such a simpler, and likely better yielding investment, considering the mine life hangs on the performance of 1 historically dodgy UG mine.

When you’re making money then losing money next quarter, and are about to change the plant configuration with an ore sorter, and could be buying back $MEK stock at 52wk lows in a positive Gold Price environment with any surplus cash, why would you do this, of all things?

@SamJam83 They’re right in doing that - and they’re doing the best they can. It’s expensive, but they’re being efficient, and I believe they’ll strike something more extensive soon, but when is the question, and if I can clip something off my entry in the meantime - it’s my risk/beer money

@Bogan_Geologist Company is saying that their strategy is to follow up on quartz veins within right structural setting and pathfinder minerals as there is potential for quartz veins with lower grade mineralization to be part of mineralized structures with variable grade distribution. Thoughts ??

Nice seeing $FAL hit a mineralised Saddle Reef/adding another rig, but I’ll wait this out on the sidelines for a few weeks at least, as the nugget-filled vein looks to be discontinuous (for now) and the company will likely need a raise in the interim.
If I’m wrong, it’ll suck. 🙄

Been having a look at $FAL and as much as I’d caution anyone from getting too excited over anything remotely related to Victoria, or Skinny, Ultra-Grade Gold, the potential prize here is pretty compelling. I can’t say I’m abundantly confident, but I’m intrigued, and impressed.

@ChuckChunder007 I’d gladly incinerate that type of budget chasing this type of prize. If you can find it, and build a fun-size mill to process it, it makes nearly every other gold-deposit style look 2nd-tier. The model is good/methods are efficient - $FAL will find something - maybe next hole 😅

The encouraging part of the story (beyond the nuggets) for $FAL is the structural setting, and as much as the initial holes have hit high-grades, it’s the proof of a fertile anticline extending along from a stupidly well-endowed area that is the part that people should focus on.

Now the theory is confirmed, $FAL can strafe the anticline at their leisure, and will likely raise to bring another rig in to accelerate the process (hopefully after a thicker, higher grade saddle reef hit, at a much higher price than my entry) and from there, who knows? 🥹

Hats off to $OBM for being upfront about their guidance prior to reporting, in an industry where bad news is usually covered up or rebranded as good news.
Will be interesting to see how the final numbers look.
