I’ve pondered a lot recently about sacrifice. Especially after a recent endowment session I participated in. I am now asking myself what I would be willing to sacrifice for the righteous blessings I desire. I think of what I’ve prioritized in the past and how it has affected my life. And I realize I need to put better or best things ahead of things that are simply good.

“Sell”? 🤣 We donate time and money to humanitarian aid more than most other religions on the planet. Our missionaries literally PAY for all expenses to serve a 2 year mission, while getting yelled at, spat upon, and even threatened simply for teaching Christ’s gospel. There’s no “selling” salvation. Jesus already made the sacrifice to provide it for all. And tithes are paid by choice, not force. Honestly, missionaries prefer to talk with people who are actually willing to listen, discuss common ground, and strengthen one another in faith. It’s not about “selling” anything. And if you think it is, then I guess you think Christ acted like a door-to-door salesman trying to “sell His religion” to those pesky Pharisees 🤷‍♂️

@BlackBlessedLDS @TeeplesCY Exactly. I would rather be with a Church that establishes wells for clean drinking water than go door to door engaging in debates on why LDS is the "true" Church of Christ. You sell Jesus like a used car dealership.

@nostalgiaa Frenchy here ! I love this movie but the final dish IS NOT A RATATOUILLE !!! It's a tian, same vegetables but not cooked the same way. I'm kinda pissed off cuz the movie is perfect and I do think they should have known better and done proper researches about french cooking

I get so tired of the hate towards my church. Can't we all just get along? We're all just doing our best to follow Jesus Christ, and that should be celebrated.

No matter what church you belong to or don’t belong to or what creed you believe in or do not believe in or what philosophy you adhere to or not adhere to, debating and fighting each other over who’s right or who’s wrong is getting nobody anywhere. It’s a pointless endeavor. The goal is is to follow Jesus. Jesus never debated anyone. Jesus rose above the fray and just lived truth… He was about the one. He was about healing. He was about loving. He was about compassion. He was about helping people see a higher, nobler way. He also didn’t condone sin… But he didn’t shame. I truly believe God and Jesus are way more curious than they are condemning. They wonder way more than they worry.

The player intended to give it to the girl specifically. If the player decides not to give one to the other kids after she gets one, you teach the boys the hard life lesson to celebrate what their sister got and that sometimes not everyone gets something. Or is that too hard for you to teach kids? If you think they all deserve a free puck and you would take advantage of just getting free stuff for everyone, maybe you’re the one with the pronouns. I like how you think I’m a pronoun person despite the fact I don’t think kids should all get a participation trophy.

This little girl is at a Washington Capitals game and she's super excited to see her favorite player, Brett Connolly. Brett keeps trying to give her a puck, but her dad keeps giving them to his boys and completely ignores her. You can see the disappointment all over her face 😔 Then Connolly notices… and surprises her with her own puck ❤️ Her whole face lights up — biggest smile ever. Sometimes the kindest people aren’t the ones you expect.

This made it so hard for me to feel like there was any hope at forgiveness or being worthy to even be a member of the church. I battled for years believing I was so disgusting and unclean that I couldn’t come back. I understand the weight this sin carries but how do we help those who have sinned and see the word “abominable” and think the worst of themselves?

I’ve been having panic attacks lately and I don’t know how he can tell (I’m good at hiding it), but Jeremiah brings me a book to read whenever I have one. Reading out loud helps me calm down. I’m being ministered to by a tiny angel and he doesn’t even know it.

Each bishop throughout the world is given revelation for his own ward. Some wards will see no changes to their Sunday school presidencies. Others will have women called. I am grateful the church is guided through revelation. The change is about what God wants for His Church and His people. On vacation in Yellowstone my family attended a tiny branch in southern Montana, with maybe 15 total active members. Policies and procedures allow for adapting to local needs.

Considering the bishop is still receiving revelation regarding who gets that calling, I don’t see why it’s an issue. Just because he has the OPTION to put women in those positions doesn’t mean all Sunday school presidencies are suddenly going to be filled with women. And honestly, there are some callings I would be overwhelmed by in a far greater way than being in a Sunday school presidency, and those callings will never be extended to women.
