Reminded me that after dating maybe 1 month, my husband said this to me and I responded with “okay thank you.”
Took me several days to say it back. I wanted it to be true and really needed to know how I felt.
He was a trooper. 😅

Seems like they have adopted the culture of the world while blaming their problems on the church somehow.

We often speak of the story of Abraham sacrificing Isaac as emblematic of Christ;
but I don't think there is any story that matches the spirit of Christ's sacrifice more than Joseph in Egypt.

Showing up at meetings is the bare minimum. If they show, they're not on the radar. And nothing changes that they're the last priority in any ward. Don't believe? Ask what the EQ budget is.

You're well fed and paid by the acts of service and the blessings that come, and the greatest friendships I have developed in wards came from serving, being served by, or serving with my fellow priesthood holders.

The men who stay active are neglected. Used as free labor. Most don't have time for social activities, and other than a weekly meeting, there is little connection.

Just had a remarkable revelation/discernment moment recently.
Discernment has layers. It begins with self-discernment and advances to not only discerning what something is, but what to do about it.
