@straczynski One of the best evolutions for the character, and one that I deeply miss.
Peter becoming a teacher and helping in his old neighborhood/high school is a perfect way for his character to grow up while keeping his core elements and personality. Loved it then and love it now.

He doesn't hold a ton of degrees, but he does have his masters' degree from ESU and more than enough work experience (lab scientist, research assistant, and others) to qualify for a high school gig.

It’s not the most complete, but I think R.B. Dobson and J. Taylor’s Rymes of Robyn Hood is still a great intro to the Robin Hood legend. Very good selection of ballads, superb introductory article and helpful appendices. That and Holt were my intro to the full legend in the 80s

One of the medieval ballads concludes that Robin Hood did poor men much good. Nowhere in that ballad or any other medieval #RobinHood ballad does he steal tax money. Before posting about what the legend “really means”, try reading a book.

And really, I know I’ve been curmudgeonly about it but I’ve grown to like Kevin Costner’s Robin Hood a fair bit too, even if I think Patrick Bergin was the better Robin Hood of 1991. It’s still a big forest with a lot of great Robin Hoods to choose from.
