Thoughts on Darcy Bryne-Jones as a fwd. He has been playing the last 2 weeks off half-back. He has average mid 80's before. Currently 656k and a BE of 32. Thinking of doing budarick to DBJ #aflfantasy @ballboysfantasy @RoyDT @WarnieDT @CalvinDT @DidakDT @aflfantasy

@bbomford84 @JakeThomasB1 Nope, sorry hot shot. You cannot have a top 2 without Daicos in it. Heeney is a clear next in line, but Bont and Daicos comfortably. I agree with the blanket, but don't think I would have Neale or Toby under it anymore - a touch below. Kozzy, Gawn, Butters, NWM and Darcy for me.

@Bomaroos @JakeThomasB1 I don’t think it’s a clear top 2. I’d have Bont & Heeney above the rest at the moment (not definitive though). Throw a blanket over Butters, Daicos, Neale, Gawn, NWM, J.Cameron, Greene for the next bracket.

@SC___Scout Must admit I'm not huge on Perez. JS is shaky at best, and it's not like his scoring is so good that it's worth the risk? Also can wait a week on Anderson..

@davisjarrafooty Also, very good question re: Walsh. I think a lower end great player. Like he'll never be an out and out superstar (Bont, Daicos type), but his best is still elite - just don't see it consistently enough.

@davisjarrafooty I think basic in examples 2 and 3, as it is simply holding space and not overcrowding (plus wanting the outside ball). The first example is a really good one actually, though. Knowing that you can hit the ball at pace because there is space past the congestion - that is clever.

I think one of the more underrated skills in the league is knowing when to go to the footy and when to hold space. So many players get stuck in no man’s land or find themselves in congestion when they should hold space. Josh Rachele last night showed that when you get that recognition correct, you become the most dangerous player on the field #AFL

@hasumpstuffedup Disagree with this. It may be minor in the fact that it didn't impact anything, as nothing resulted from it. However, there are potential consequences that could have happened. And the biggest issue is that it wasn't a missed decision, it was seen and not called. Concerning.

Don't get me wrong. This is a disappointing error But this is absolute proof we have too many football shows. One missed decision, seven minutes to go, that would have just been a warning. Presented as some massive breaking news Its not helpful or healthy to have this #AFL

@GoatFantasyNews I half expect GWS to revert back to using Whit more. Sure, Ash provides a lot of run, but he also does a lot of nothing (goes sideways, nothing touches to get it back etc), and I think it has hurt them. Whit more likely to be damaging and I think pre bye was the start of this.

@fantasynut_afl Would be very surprised if they ran with a tag. They are flying at the moment and their midfield has been integral to what they're doing. They already have so many guys running through, and I can't see them reducing the time for any Reid, Bolton, Jackson, Brayshaw or Serong..

Last yr, in Rd 9 Freo tagged N.Daicos with Wagner. Nick scored 67 but Freo lost. In Rd 19, Nick ran free, picked up 43 touches + a goal for 162 points, and Freo won. What do they do this week?

@WarnieDT I have had Vis stuck at R3 all season. Came in handy this week, moving him to R2 and LMac to R3 with a trade to Grundy pending LMac's score. And now I can trade Parish..

This isn’t a bad idea now! McAndrew probably won’t have ROB to deal with moving forward (not that his 35% TOG is a worry). Last week of Best 18, the loop option will be handy if your bench is healthy everywhere else. Get the big score and go all in on McR2. #AFLFantasy

@fantasynut_afl Similar, but swap Salem for Rivers. Prioritising Parish, Windy, Rivers, Blakiston, Windsor and Vis. Windsor and Blakiston stay. Too much cash already to do Vis to Steene. I like Kerch, so maybe Rivers to Kerch, and Parish up to anyone. If Rivers plays, may hold and do Windy.

Round 2: 1734 OR: 42757 Trades: Rozee + Bergman for Whitfield + Holmes Unfortunately was only fielding 19 this week with the premium injuries + Murdoch and Marshall also not being available. Started with Visentini with the view that he would be decent cover for English's rd 3 bye. Similarly, started Marshall with the hope that he'd provide safe cover during this bye with several FWDs out. Unfortunately both plans didn't pan out. The rookies continue to do well and the right premiums continue to score well. Unfortunately Salem has not turned out to be a good pick and Windhager is not someone I want to hold till the byes. If I had instead gone with Sinclair and Steele instead of those two, i'd be 10s of thousands of positions better off, but I guess everyone would be if they were given two mulligans eh. The issue I face now is that in addition to have several guys I want to trade out: -Windhager -Salem -Parish -Visentini -Blakiston isn't urgent if he can just give me 60s -Petracca, may end up just being a hold for me and then pray its only a 4 week layoff instead of 6 I also have a few rooks that might be close to maxing out, Zeke, ?Carroll. And there are several rooks I prob need to consider trading in: Farrow, Lindsay (after trading him out lol), Steene etc. Getting those rooks now will likely mean falling further behind, so finding that balance between increasing my TV and also getting points will be tricky. Think I have to take a bit more of a novel approach to get back in the race, but that might mean some short term pain still. How'd you go this week?

@_birch14_ I would prefer he gets slaughtered, rather than crush the confidence and development of 2 younger guys, is more the point. That's not valuable experience, that's just throwing your future into the deep end with no support. I 100% agree that we can't play all 3, though..

@Bomaroos They might get slaughtered but so is Flynn 🤣 he's not protecting them from anything he's just taking away valuable experience. Plus you can't pick all 3 in the same team IMO, not enough footspeed when the ball hits the deck and the game is faster than ever
