Everyone knows Hustwaite had zero bearing on swinging that deal. It should’ve been accepted with or without him. Fans that act like Hustwaite was a main part of the deal and the reason it didn’t get done are hilarious.

Hawthorn entered the 2026 season as a genuine premiership fancy 🟤🟡 
They didn't debut a single player all season in 2025 because the list looked complete and only needed a few finishing touches.
 Fast forward to 2026, and they've now debuted their 7th player! 🤯
 The injury carnage combined with failing to use their cap space last offseason can't be overstated. 
It's now or never for the Hawks this offseason⏳ 
They've at least had a genuine look at the club's future before some tough list decisions arrive over the next few years 👀
