@BombsRoss I got your attempted point. Truth Bomb for ya, he coached & won during his career a handful of seasons when “the cupboards were bare” from the outside. P.s. valley had multiple players last season with talent to win games. Maybe new school is the best family time fit. 🤷‍♂️

@handleUcrew Missed the point. Just very convenient to leave and claim family time when talent won’t be there. Then to come back at different school 1 year later. Dude is great coach. Just don’t play family card when talent runs dry.

@BombsRoss Rents due every day!! Staffs from every school (4A specifically) have ample time & talent to build competitive teams. Perhaps acknowledging the lifelong memories & experiences BJ’s success provided the young men during his time in leadership would be the best approach GR.

@BombsRoss These coaches give a heck of a lot of time and then some extra after that. Even a season of refilling their cup with family time or a reset can be transformational. Especially for someone like Coach BJ who hasn’t had an off season since the Sonics were still in Seattle.

It’s amazing how many people here think they know what’s best for a kid. Perception isn’t reality in most cases. 🤷‍♂️

@cjmorrow8 Don’t you coach AAU and go to the events? They have to make money some how? If you don’t have AAU and make money off the people on your team non of this exists.

Yep charging more than it cost to get into Iowa girls state basketball tournament where you can watch games all day and night. It’s sad really! No reason why families have to spend $35 bucks to come support their kids, and kindergarten kids having to pay $15 to watch!

Things need to change quickly! Nebraska is doing what they want offensively, and changing things up defensively. They have a lot of weapons right now.

Coach Sturm lost a ton of talent in the last 2 years & all he did was reload. Another trip into the semifinals at state.

Like I said last week the @IGHSAU puts on a heck of a basketball tournament. From live streams to everything. Watching and seeing the boys its so bad compared to the girls feel bad for all the boys as they don’t get the same environment and experience!

Nothing better than a full day at the 🎀🏀 Iowa High School Girls Basketball State Tournament. Today was a GREAT day of girls basketball — watching high-level teams compete, studying new sets, BLOB actions, special situations, and learning from some really good coaches across the state. I’m always taking notes, always looking for things I can incorporate into my own program. Growth never stops. Checked in at 9:00 AM. Walked out of the arena at 10:00 PM. 7 games today. Another 7 tomorrow. Long days. Full notebook. Grateful heart. There’s nothing like being inside the @IGHSAU basketball tournament environment — the energy, the preparation, the adjustments, the passion. You network with amazing coaches, talk the game, share ideas, and leave better than you came in. Grateful to be on class 3A/5A coaches committee! Back at it again tomorrow. Let’s keep learning. According to BC Moore, Mediapolis played the 62nd-best schedule of the 64 teams in 3A. If I'm an admin there, I'm on the phone tomorrow with another conference. Southeast? River Valley? There's got to be a better option. #iahsbkb
