Some of the replies to this post are really disappointing. These women have stepped up and shown an interest in one of the most challenging roles in policing. They deserve our respect, not insults and abuse.

Our women firearms officers are assessed to the same standard as their male colleagues. They complete the same fitness tests, the same officer safety training and the same shooting assessments.
