Not sure what kind of start I’m going to get off to or the game I’ll have on the first tee but it’s going to be important to stay patient and take it shot by shot. I feel good in the prep that I’ve done and all I can do is fully commit to my shots and pursue them the best that I can and see what happens.
I’ll be watching some of the early coverage to see how the course is playing.
Wish me luck!

Augusta Diaries Wed
-Fina prep day on the course. I played the first nine. It was nice to look at the notes I had written down from Monday and to double check some of them. I made slight adjustments to some of them but I was happy with the homework that I had done.
-The wind is out of the NE or thereabouts. It made the first nine very challenging. The only downwind shots were 2 tee, 4 tee and everything else felt into the wind. 2 was almost harder as it was down off the left and super hard to turn it over enough with that wind. It’s going to be way less windy during the tournament but it looks like it’ll be out of that NE most of the week.
-Played the Par 3 contest with good friend Si Woo Kim. Actually played the first nine with him today as well. I had my gf caddie for me and we had an awesome time. Temperature and the scenery was perfect. Still looking for that elusive ace though.
-I tee off 1139. Will get to the course around 930 to do some warm up and eat some food as well. I have a feeling the greens are going to be really firm and it’s going to play different than last yr. Last yr, there was a ton of rain that softened things up early but not this yr. It’ll be that much more important to hit my numbers.

Pebble Beach Recap
✅ Jake Knapp T10/20 +270/+114 (+2 units)
✅ Jake Knapp R3 Top 5 +305 (+2.2u)
✅ Patrick Cantlay T20 +110 (+1.1u)
✅ Russell Henley T20 -112 (+2u)
✅ Tom Hoge T20 +400 (+2u)
✅ Tom Hoge FRL Each Way (+0.8u)
✅ Fleetwood vs Xander R1 -115 (+1u)
🍻 +2.1 units total
📈 -3.8 on the year
Thoughts
🦅🦅 We had Henley and Knapp BOTH chip in on 18 for eagle for a +5.7unit swing!!!!! Massive massive breaks there!!!
🦅 Knapp chipped in for eagle on 18 in R3 as well, to secure a non-chopped R3 Top 5
🤏 Tom Hoge was a shot away in R1 from a full FRL each way cash. He was also 1 shot from a Top 10, parring the 18th par 5 from 205 in the fairway. But he is such a beast around here and glad we loaded up for 2u on the Top 20 payout.
🤏 Jason Day finished 1 shot out of Top 20, -2.4 swing.
Any week you throw 2.3 units at a bunch of outrights and round leaders that didn't come home (10unit returns on those) and you walk away with profits, its a good week! 🍻
Next up. Genesis Invitational!

An armed man trying to impede a lawful arrest is a recipe for disaster.
I expect law enforcement officers to use good judgement. But not to foolishly risk their lives or the lives of others.
As to the recent tragic shooting in Minnesota where Border Patrol agents used deadly force against an armed protestor trying to impede a lawful arrest, it is a direct result of the heated rhetoric and over the top reaction toward ICE —who are simply trying to enforce the law in sanctuary cities.
You have every right to protest and you have every right to disagree with President Trump. No one has the right to impede law enforcement officers carrying out their duties. If you go to such events with a loaded gun, bad things can happen.
The facts will be fully investigated, but for me having been a defense attorney and prosecutor who’s been around law enforcement officers, you have to understand the extreme pressure that Border Patrol and ICE agents are under in sanctuary cities.
These cities have willfully ignored federal law, creating massive fraud of benefits, a constant magnet for illegal immigration and a breakdown of law and order.
I will be introducing legislation to end sanctuary state and city polices once and for all because they rip off the taxpayer and cause extreme danger for those trying to clean up the mess in these liberal cities.

NEW: @potus letter to @jonasgahrstore links @NobelPrize to Greenland, reiterates threats, and is forwarded by the NSC staff to multiple European ambassadors in Washington. I obtained the text from multiple officials:
Dear Ambassador:
President Trump has asked that the following message, shared with Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, be forwarded to your [named head of government/state]
“Dear Jonas: Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America. Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have a “right of ownership” anyway? There are no written documents, it’s only that a boat landed there hundreds of years ago, but we had boats landing there, also. I have done more for NATO than any other person since its founding, and now, NATO should do something for the United States. The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland. Thank you! President DJT”

Some thoughts after my practice rounds here at Sony Open.
-Rough is up. Much longer throughout the course than yrs past. But it’s not like you can’t advance it. It’s long but a little thin. A good mix I think.
-Greens are soft. There’s more rain coming tonight so I expect greens and fairways to be quite soft when most yrs it’s been firm.
-It’s going to be WINDY all week. But it’s an east/NE wind it looks like. It’s the opposite of what I’ve usually played.
-The wind will be very strong but it’s an easier direction at least. What made Waialae tough off the tee was that the wind was always going against the dogleg. Right to left dogleg, usually wind off the left and vice versa. With the east wind, it’s going to go with the dogleg more times than not. It’s going to be a great test this week.
-Wish me luck! First off Thursday morning.
