Today is the 1-yr anniversary of noticing a correlation between the whale and snowing. I didn't expect the gag to continue for so long, but it just never stopped snowing. I think it's time for me to move on, at least publicly. Thank you for all you've done, O Whale!

I have posted this before but .. 26 years ago, a gunman entered Dunblane Primary School in Scotland, killing 16 kids and a teacher. The UK govt responded by enacting tight gun control legislation. In the 9400+ days since, there have been a total of O school shootings in the UK.

I did a snowpack update today. It could not snow another flake and we'd still have a well-above-average season in Utah. However, that's not going to happen. It will continue to snow.

Alta-Collins study plot has now received 100" of snow for the month of February. This means it is yet another above-average month. We have now had 5 consecutive months of above-average snowfall.

The next week features a snowy western US with long, broad band of snow across the northern tier of the country.
