I’m okay with showing an ID to vote. I’m not okay with needing a passport, birth certificate, and marriage certificate which is what the SAVE act would require for tens of millions of women.

Now I'm two months from the wedding, and my entire bridal party is "gently suggesting" I find something more "classic." My mother-in-law offered to buy me a "proper" dress from David's Bridal. But when I put this on, I see my grandmother's garden, her stories about village celebrations, the culture she left behind when she immigrated. Yes, it's not a traditional white gown. Yes, people might whisper. But isn't a wedding dress supposed to make you feel like the truest version of yourself?
