Olivia Miles on how hard it is to be a rookie point guard “It’s really hard because you really have to step outside your comfort zone like as a rookie I do badly want to shut up and say nothing and just watch and listen but as a point guard your duty is to literally direct people and be a quarterback and put people in situations and put a 15 year vet, a 10 year vet in her right spot. It’s weird, it’s a weird thing to do but it comes with the territory, you just have to be comfortable and confident”

Antonia Delaere on the Lynx offense being more European and team focused being appealing for her “Yeah for sure, I talked to coach Mike about it and he really told me it’s the team that plays most like our national team. So I kind of knew it was something special and also like I said I’m not the highlight player, I love to do all the small things and I think for this team it can work out very well”

Antonia Delaere on being a professional role player and specializing being a glue player “It’s something I also grew into with the national team, it’s also like they call me the glue, I also do this kind of thing. I don’t need to be the star because people recognize it and that’s the most important for me. I love to win, and if that’s the thing that can help the team win, the I will do those things and I know that our staff, our players, see this kind of work so I don’t need all the highlights”

Ola Kosu on her rookie year, and her first time in the United States “Yeah that was really a big experience for me. At first it was with my language because I’m not a native speaker but the basketball, I really understand American basketball, that’s really my game, fast and physical, that’s what I do… that’s my game, I love it”

Ola Kosu on what the most important part of the final week of the preseason will be “It’s most important to get connected to each other, we will work on some details with practice and details for the game. Just to understand better each other”

@WinsidrAryeh I genuinely loved her answer though, like to flip that switch in your brain would be so hard.

Nia Coffey on what Lynx fans should know about her off the court “I’m a foodie, so any restaurant recommendations I’d be loving yall… my favorite restaurant was young Joni and I heard they closed down. I was so sad about that one but I heard that the north loop is really being built up so I’m open to any restaurant recommendations”

Nia Coffey on her excitement to play with Napheesa Collier “Yeah, absolutely, I think just everything that she brings to the game, she just puts so much pressure on the other team and it opens so much up for everyone else so it’s just going to be really great for our group when we’re gelled together and playing together and I’m looking forward to it. I think we’re going to be really good”

Nia Coffey on learning to play with Courtney Williams and Olivia Miles “I always make an emphasis of making sure I’m on the same page with my point guards. I look at them after every play like “what are we running, what are we thinking, what are you feeling?” Making sure I’m communicating early and often when it comes to screens because you got to protect the littles(smiles)… every day is getting better but I just think there is a lot of newness going on so just giving alot of people grace and patience”

Natasha Howard on how Cheryl Reeve had changed from when she left “When I left she was very strict. When I was here it was a strict program here but since I left she’s been kind of like chill but still Cheryl. Other than that since I’ve came back she’s been very Chill, still herself, still want the best out of you and that’s one thing I love about Cheryl, she’s going to bring the best out of you”

Natasha Howard on playing with Napheesa Collier this season “I’m really excited, we talked about it in Turkey at one point a couple years ago. She was like “would you ever come to Minnesota” and I said like “maybe(laughs) I’ll let you know when I come though” but I’m really excited to play next to her… I’m really excited for her to get back healthy so we can play together and show the league what Minnesotas about”

Natasha Howard on what is special about teams that win a championship “They had it last season, but injuries happen. We got new pieces that can actually help us out this season, I’m back(smiles) we got the returning players that came back from last season. I feel like we’re going to grow from what they did last season and elevate even more”

@GophersForever She had the first one done in January, had to wait for it to heal enough to get the second one done.

Napheesa Collier on the decision process to have her ankles operated on “Neither of them started getting any better, so I kind of knew in the back of my head, I’m usually a pretty fast healer. I tried anyway and tried to do the rehab and it wasnt getting any better so I finally saw a surgeon and he’s like “it’s not going to get any better” I was like “that makes sense”… once I knew I had to have the surgeries I just switched my mindset to attack the rehab… and get back healthy for the W season”

Napheesa Collier on playing with Olivia Miles “I’m super excited, Liv’s court vision and her passing ability is really amazing. I’ve never played with a player like that before. So it’s been fun to watch her, like even get better in the past couple weeks… I’m excited to get out there and reap the benefits of it”

Dorka Juhasz on what it was like watching the 2025 Lynx season “Obviously I was supporting them, it wasn’t even a question regardless of if I’m here or not… I watched every single game… what came through the screen… that group was really connected, they had so much fun and I think that’s the joy in it, just watching them play, obviously this team is going to be a little bit different”

Jaden McDaniels on playing De’Aaron Fox “It’s a good matchup, I mean he’s super fast, he likes to play in the mid-range and stuff. I like playing against him because I like competing against him, like I used to watch his highlights and stuff in highschool… we just got to slow him down”
