🇩🇪🚨 4 Syrians and one Iraqi refugee are on trial for gang raping a 17-year-old victim while applying electric shocks to her body. Her lawyer says that she "no longer takes part in life" and has locked herself away in her apartment. German crime statistics show Syrians commit violent crimes at a rate 11 times higher than Germans. Government data shows there have been 135,000 crimes by Syrian suspects against German victims since 2015 — one every 39 minutes.

Judge Nicholas Rowland praised the boys for their conduct during the trial. “I think of you as very young and none of you have been in any big trouble before” Never mind these evil monsters — hope the women in your life are proud, Nicolas Rowland. Jesus Christ.

She's been unable to maintain a friendship with every single White friend she has had because, in her head, she has created a list of things that she's owed and then, when something happens, she expects the White person to pay the 'toll' to her. When they don't pay that toll, she feels like they didn't give her what she's owed, and so...that's that. These people are a nightmare. Especially the women.

bell hooks said that White people will meet a Black person who completely challenges every racial stereotype that they have, but rather than giving up the stereotypes, they create a special category for that person and say, things like “Well, you’re not like other Black people”, instead of saying, “My ideas of Black people were too narrow”. This is called “subtyping” and it leads to the survival of negative stereotypes because the new category individual who’s supposedly “not like the others” is mentally isolated from the group. What this shows is that bigotry is all about protecting an existing hierarchy and it doesn’t matter much whether a person is exposed to other people or not. Which is why meeting intelligent, kind, accomplished, or complex Black people does not dismantle prejudice if someone is emotionally invested in keeping the stereotype intact. Exposure to facts and figures doesn’t change the situation either. Someone can know the statistics on crime, education, poverty, or discrimination and still keep racial stereotypes because the stereotype preserves a sense of superiority and avoids confronting historical responsibility. This is part of why bell hooks further argued that racism is emotional and ideological more than just purely ignorant, which is then why facts by themselves usually do not overcome a worldview that a person is motivated to preserve.

I lost my patience at one point in law school after hearing another school funding lawsuit treated as obviously necessary/good and asked the professor if he would change his mind about its value if nothing improved performance-wise in a decade or two nope. number must go up

I’m so tired of this talking point. Tom Steyer is running for governor of California, which spent $20,000 *per student* in 2023. That’s double what the state spent just 10 years ago. And yet test scores are *declining.* The idea that we don’t “invest in schools” is a myth.

“You Ruined My Life”: Crown Refuses to Lay Charges on Cops who Brutalized Innocent 17-Year-Old Girl On November 13, 2023, 17-year-old Haylie Nahamko-White stepped off the bus after her lifeguard shift. In a terrifying instant, two men jumped from an unmarked car and violently tackled her to the ground. Convinced she was being kidnapped, Haylie never saw a badge. She had no idea the two men were Edmonton Police officers — and she fought desperately for her life. The brutal assault left her unconscious and bleeding, inflicting permanent physical and emotional injuries that still haunt her today. The common-sense-defying excuse police came up with was that the officers mistook 17-year-old Haylie for a 25-year-old Asian female suspect. “My teeth fell out, but my braces held them in. I had bolt patches — I still do. My SI joint and my hip is completely torn. I still suffer from severe pain. I’m going to be 20 here and I still deal with it… I still have nightmares.” For nearly three years, the identities of the two @edmontonpolice officers who brutalized Haylie Nahamko-White have been shielded from the public. Today, in the public interest, @MediaBezirgan is naming them for the first time following Alberta Crown prosecutors, under Justice Minister @mickeyamery, ruled that no criminal charges will be laid against the officers.

This is unbelievable. A travesty of justice. One of the worst terrorist attacks in Europe was by Islamists at the Bataclan Theatre in Paris in November 2015. Two men stormed the 1,500 person theatre where a concert was in progress. They fired indiscriminately at people, then hunted them down as people cowered in offices and cupboards. They even executed those who lay on the floor pretending to be dead. 130 people died that day. Hundreds were injured. Mohammed Bakkali is a Moroccan-Belgian who was behind this attack (and the others that took place that night). He rented safe houses and provided cars for the Islamic State cell. He knew exactly what was happening and facilitated it. In the 2022 trial in Paris he was sentenced to 30 years for his role. And now comes the kicker. When he was extradited from Belgium to face trial, there was a condition that he serve any sentence in a Belgium prison. He has served 4 years and on 11 May the Belgium court granted him the right to leave six times for 36 hours each. In fact, it then came out that he has already had several day releases since 2025. They cite his good behaviour and rehabilitation. In Belgium, some prisoners only serve 1/3 of their sentence. Looks like for a Muslim who colluded in a heinous terrorist attack it is even less. The French are furious. And rightly so.

JERRY SPRINGER LEVEL CHAOS WARNING ⚠️ This wife just got the ultimate gut punch from her own DAUGHTER: “Mom… Dad has HIV.” 😱 She’s out here naming every type of herpes because she has it, where they pop up, and how they spread like it’s her PhD thesis. Then she runs to Walmart, grabs an HIV test kit, and films the whole thing in her car as she talks about her sex life. The tension…the “I might die” vibes… AND AT THE END? SHE’S NEGATIVE. But the marriage? It was already in the morgue. Who cheats with HIV/herpes and lets their kid drop the bomb?

NAACP@NAACP

The NAACP is taking a stand. Today, we launch the #OutofBounds campaign, a national call to action for Black athletes, families, fans, and allies. In response to states erasing Black voting representation after the Supreme Court’s Louisiana v. Callais decision, we are demanding accountability. "Out of Bounds is our answer: we are naming the contradiction, and we are calling on Black athletes, families, fans, and consumers to act on it. The same power that built these programs can be redirected." —NAACP President and CEO @DerrickNAACP This is about more than sports. It’s about justice.
