Copy & Paste SpaceX cracks reusable rockets, Jeff B follows suit SpaceX launch Starlink, Jeff B follows suit with Kuiper Elon suggests orbital data centers, Jeff B follows suit Maybe time for him to come up with something original...

NEWS: Jeff Bezos' rocket company Blue Origin has filed an official request with the FCC to launch and operate a constellation of 51,600 AI satellites (orbital datacenters), just two weeks after Amazon filed a formal petition calling on the FCC to deny @SpaceX’s 1 million-satellite proposal for orbiting datacenters, going as far to claim the project would take “centuries” to deploy. Blue Origin's project, called “Project Sunrise,” would include up to 51,600 satellites in low Earth orbit, designed to run AI and cloud computing workloads using constant solar power. The system would primarily use laser (optical) links between satellites. Blue Origin says "space-based data centers could relieve pressure on Earth’s power grids and water usage."

When you bought the $50,000 Tesla Model Y to save on gas & maintenance. Then you learned: - It loses 20-35% of its value by year 3 - It loses 55-58% of its value by year 5 So by year 5 you lost $35,000+ of value? ....Congrats on saving ~$1,000/yr on gas.

@DrPhiltill I thought the same thing. I'm hoping long term it will be Blue Origin selling the picks and shovels for orbital launches and satellite rack, and AWS hosting the cloud and supplying the chips.

@SpaceInvestor_D If they launch enough stuff into orbit and catch all that solar power, would it cool down the earth? Would that be good or bad? Hard to keep up.

Kardashev II loading… SpaceX filed for 1M orbital data center satellites Starcloud (NVIDIA-backed) filed for 88K sats Blue Origin just filed for 51K sats. These aren’t sci-fi sketches, they’re FCC filings. First nodes of a solar-harnessing swarm are deploying soon.

Carwow just released a new video to its 11 million YouTube subscribers titled: "Why Tesla Full Self Drive is Pointless!" @carwowuk misleads its viewers into thinking Tesla’s Autopilot is FSD, even though FSD hasn’t been approved in the UK yet. Autopilot isn’t meant for city driving, yet they test of bunch of scenarios that Autopilot wasn't built to do in the first place....

Elon is telling us that open source models (through China) will win over closed source ones in this scenario, the best layer of the ai stack to invest in would be the infrastructure layer since they don't care about which model wins

reminder that Google had the secret formula for AI before anyone else but chose not to develop it to protect their free cash flow makes you think what cancer research companies would do if they found a cure🤔
Ryan Petersen@typesfast

Whoever named Gemini at Google really named it. In the mythology, the immortal twin gives up his immortality to save the life of his mortal twin. It’s just like Google giving up 100% of its free cash flow to make sure Deepmind survives.

I pretty much only own $AMZN and $TSLA so I'm very bullish on AI infra and robotics/automation long term. I'll also start DCAing into SpaceX after it IPOs to get more space exposure for the orbital data center thesis. I don't know enough about BioTech and don't like Healthcare as an investable industry in general because it requires screwing over everyday people for profit.

Having an incredibly hard time thinking about the next 5 years. There is so much that's going to happen: AI Supply Chain & Infra Buildout Space/Rockets Robotics/Automation BioTech/Health I'm not sure if I pick ~4-7 names and let them ride with conviction or continue with 15-25.

The fortress we are building—and the layers of redundancy—to protect the platform against the AI Slopacalypse will seem obvious in a few months. Whether we use every tool in our toolkit is TBD, but it would be negligent to not have them ready.

Some people at frontier AI labs told me they believe startups are over. OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI will absorb every industry as AGI nears. Coding today, science, medicine, and finance next. Then everything else. If they’re right, that’s a pretty boring end of the world.
