Degeneracy is quite the norm in the Black community. It’s no surprise considering we’re 2 generations from being legal property, and 1 generation removed from the CIA flooding firearms and crack into inner cities, all of which are predominantly Black. There’s almost a built in excuse to explain our collective situation. Correct me if I’m wrong, but do white people in this country have a parallel? I’d assume that’s why most people would seek a backstory in opposite situations.
