@robertjdenault there is a 100% chance that someone, cast or crew, shared insider information. you and I, along with anyone else with a clue as to how this type of thing works, know this to be a fact. don't be coy on this matter. someone has to pay the piper. the piper must be paid.

Update: we continue to investigate insider trading in Survivor markets, but the below still holds true: so far, no traders with large positions seem to have a relationship to the show or to the network. Thousands of traders took early positions consistent with the outcome, likely because of public rumors. And public rumors don't equal insider information. PS—as a longtime Survivor fan, big congrats to Aubry. Well-deserved win.
robertjdenault@robertjdenault

On Aliens, Survivor, and The Bachelorette (so far). TL;DR: Just because someone has a large position in a market or traders follow rumors online does not mean they’re insider trading. Aliens, Survivor, and Bachelorette markets - we’re investigating all of them, and so far, we have not found compelling evidence of insider trading or market manipulation. However, these markets are not closed, and our monitoring and analysis continues. Aliens A few weeks ago The Atlantic posted an article titled "This Looks Like an Insider Bet on Aliens." The story focused on trades by a user who is wagering that by the end of the year, the U.S. government will confirm aliens exist. According to The Atlantic, due to the size of the trades it might be someone with "insider knowledge." But we investigated this position, including document requests and an interview with the trader. (He gave us permission to make this post). There is no evidence the trader has insider information. He's tired of trading stocks; he doesn't feel they are accurately priced. While looking for markets he felt he had an edge on, he found Kalshi's alien market. He developed a researched thesis for why the U.S. government might be on the verge of confirming alien existence (including recent document releases, new comments by President Obama, President Trump's response to those comments, etc.) and felt the position was underpriced. He doesn’t know whether the government will confirm anything or not, but based on public information and research, he considers his position a good one. Survivor and The Bachelorette Pre-taped shows mean that people have knowledge of what happens before the show airs - including contestants and production staff. But they typically sign legal documents preventing them from telling people - otherwise, shows would constantly be spoiled for everybody. Using that information for profit is not allowed. This week there was a New York Times article titled “People Are Making Money Betting on Pretaped ‘Survivor’ Episodes” that suggested insider trading is happening with our Survivor markets. We’ve investigated and, so far, have not found definitive evidence of that. We’ve been checking backgrounds of traders in this market and have not identified anyone with any connection to Survivor. After reviewing the trading activity, it appears the likeliest explanation is that traders are following public rumors, following other traders who placed trades in the opening hours of the market, or just trading based on research and conviction. Same scenario for The Bachelorette, and same conclusion thus far. It seems that Reality Steve’s site posts spoilers that tend to be right. People can look at those predictions, then place trades on prediction markets. That’s not insider trading. Still, we are continuing to monitor these markets and analyze trading patterns, and we will take action if we find anything anomalous.

#Survivor50 was a total flop in my opinion. Some cool moments with fun players from the past, but all in all the same stale themes that have plagued the show for the past 4-5 years. Show needs to move from Fiji and start branching out again. It’s become too comfortable for the players, and uncomfortable situations is what made survivor so great. Challenges and strategy almost mean nothing anymore. Nicest person who is left standing always wins. The game used to change season by season, now it’s just a repeat.

This is rich coming from her. Here's a personal story of the irony here: 2007, CH does The Tonight show w Jay Leno. She makes fun of Angelina Jolie & her newly adopted son, 3 yr old Pax, who is Asian. CH: “He probably doesn’t even realize he’s Asian yet! He certainly doesn’t know he’s going to be a horrible driver… or that he’s going to be amazing at doing nails!” The next few days there was plenty of outrage, disappointment & accusations of racism levied against NBC. 2 weeks later, I'm booked on The Tonight Show & I've already had my set approved. I was told, I can't tell any of my jokes because of the blowback of her hacky, racist jokes. Yes, I couldn't tell jokes about being Asian because she did so much damage making fun of Asians. Then, weeks later of 2007, I performed at a showcase where CH was present. Prior to, I had never spoken to, met or interacted with her & as I was wrapping up my set, I mentioned her in the crowd? It's odd to see a comedian sitting in a showcase watching w audience, so I mentioned it in passing. She then yelled out "you're doing a great little Asian job". MY POINT: I personally know Shane & Tony aren't racist. In fact, I don't think Chelsea is racist. Sure, she's got a long history of promiscuity, an affinity for day drinking, publicly stated she's prescribed a healthy dose of anti depressants, rumored to be awful to work for or with, has a punch card to a plastic surgeon, accused of punching down in her comedy, never been married or had kids & lives alone in her 50s, had dinner with Jeffrey Epstein but c'mon gang, she's not racist.

People have a lot of feelings about Rizo & his end game moves. He comes into these seasons up against it with a jury who view him as a young upstart, but I think he maximised his chances. He navigated the game at Cirie’s knee, cutting & trading those more threatening allies for an optimal final 3. He walks into FIC with a ~75% chance of a real shot at FTC &, honestly, it would’ve been a solid win #Survivor #Survivor50

I'll always see #Survivor50 as the missed opportunity season. There were so many highs, some great characters, some beautiful storytelling & fun antics, some great nods to what makes #Survivor incredible. But it was brought down by twists, the limited new era format, an uneven cast & the wrong emphasis on what hasn't fuelled the show for 50 seasons. It sucks knowing how good it should have been. All they had to do was nothing.

A guy at the gym kept giving unsolicited advice to everyone. “Your form is wrong.” “You’re lifting too light.” “Trust me, I coach people online.” One day he started correcting an older woman doing deadlifts. Very politely. Very confidently. The woman smiled and said: “Oh thanks.” Then another member walked over and quietly whispered: “Do you know who that is?” It turned out she was a retired Olympic powerlifter. The entire gym watched her casually lift almost triple his max warmup weight without even changing expression. After that, every time he tried giving advice, someone would jokingly ask: “Is this Olympic-approved?”

Todd won the hardest final 3 in Survivor history on top of owning his game at the end and being the mastermind from beginning to end. He also won on his FIRST AND ONLY try. Todd also gave the best final tribal speech ever. Todd Herzog had the greatest game of all time.

@RealCGriff have died one way or another, imo. all in all the writing in 7 and 8 was just bad leading to the finale. rushed, yes, but also the witty dialogue gone, personalities not fitting the years long character development (tyrion, varys). moments were there, but few and far between.

Another change: NFL teams will no longer be able to protect specific home games from being moved internationally. Until now, team could lock in two guaranteed home stadium games each season. That rule has been eliminated and the NFL can now move any game they want to a different country. The NFL’s global expansion push is aggressive right now.
Ari Meirov@MySportsUpdate

NFL owners have approved increasing the maximum number of league-run international games per season from 8 to 10 beginning in 2027. That maximum does not include the Jaguars-run game in London.
