@Madara10962 @Kyithios @JesuroShimuzu People seem to be unable to understand the simple concept of neutering your own challenge is a bad thing if you can just let people cheat to unlock it with in-game options. Why did you even put the achievements in the game if it's essentially meaningless to unlock them?

(I do sometimes enjoy replaying some old games with RetroAchievements. They have a hardcore/softcore divide to try and appease both perspectives here. But I won't believe any claims of skill without poasting vids.)

@Kyithios @JesuroShimuzu No they couldn't, I know that's bs because I played old games that had cheat codes you could use and they disabled you from unlocking achievements. Might as well add a feature that plays the game itself for you, no point in having a challenge if you can cheat achieving it.

@Kyithios @JesuroShimuzu They're a public display of your skill, tenacity, and dedication to the game the more and harder of its achievements you have unlocked. It gives people the idea you're good at the game when you're not, having cheated. Old games had the right idea, using cheats = no achievements.

@Kyithios @JesuroShimuzu Bruh, the fucking cope. They are ingame cheats and trying to label them as "accessibility" doesn't change that. They modify the game to give you an unfair advantage and letting people unlock achievements while using them makes them pointless. Cheapens the whole experience.

@BoomerZoomer34 @JesuroShimuzu Accessibility. Achievements don't mean anything to some people, and to others they mean a lot. Why do you care about other people's achievements? Your achievements are supposed to have meaning to YOU, not other people.
