This is just sad. it is really so embarrassing for a Houston city council campaign use religious fearmongering in an election that should maybe be about something like......oh I don't know..........what candidates plan to do about flooding.............

Quick update from today’s City Council meeting regarding the 11th Street corridor. Council Member Twila Carter @TwilaForHouston raised concerns about the 11th Street bikeway, noting she has been receiving constituent communications requesting its removal. Council Member Castillo @MarioforHouston responded by pointing to the community engagement process and safety data supporting the current design. The Mayor @houmayor then asked whether police and fire departments were included in that engagement. While no decisions were made, the conversation signals that the 11th Street redesign could become part of a broader reevaluation of recent street projects. change.org/houstonloves11…
