People don’t realize that so much of his growth is because we started to FINALLY play to his strengths.
Elite technical on ball players surrounding him (Trossard, Eze, Saka) and even Calafiori and Ben White at full back.
Playing first time diagonal balls into channels.

Gyokeres has really started to shine this second half of the season. Early on, you could see the physicality, the goals, the raw talent… but now his overall game has gone to another level. His link-up play has improved massively, his movement is smarter, he’s pressing relentlessly, and he’s becoming so much more complete outside of just scoring goals. What stands out most is how much he impacts games even when he isn’t on the scoresheet. He occupies defenders, creates space for others, carries the ball forward with power, and never stops working. He’s gone from being just a dangerous striker to looking like a genuinely elite all-around forward. The growth in his game over the season has been seriously impressive.

Gyokeres haters are genuinely the funniest people.
You claim you don’t rate him, call him the worst striker in the league, yet you’re setting 30-goal expectations for him. Is that the same standard you hold Kai Havertz to?
All of a sudden, goals matter for strikers, but when it’s Havertz, link-up play and aerial duels are enough for you.

My expectations for Gyökeres in the summer was 30 Goals in all competitions. If he manage 25 he's an 8/10 signing for me.

From today, you’ll never catch me arguing with any nuisance about the quality Viktor Gyökeres adds to this Arsenal team. God forbid you catch me debating a 20-goal-and-counting debut-season striker whose contributions could be one of the main reasons Arsenal win the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League this season.

The amount of abuse Gyokeres has gotten from Arsenal fans this season only for him to continue to have the best mentality and prove them wrong is peak. Amazing how much better he looks with ball to feet wingers and a progressive midfield. Play to his strengths.

I’m disgusted with myself. I agreed with & pushed the idea that we make more happen with Kai than Gyokeres. Complete nonsense and actually there was plenty of evidence that that was nonsense - it just hadn’t happened for a while I think this game has proven a few things right that we’ve called for (more MLS mins, Rice RCM) - but Gyokeres is showing he can make things happen for us

Crazy how much better we look when we play a progressive midfield (MLS and Calafiori) with no pass backward merchants (Zubimendi and Odegaard) with our 2 best wingers (Saka and Trossard).
