Did you also raise the campaign of terror being waged by Gvir’s militia on defenceless Palestinian families in the South Hebron Hills and across the West Bank or is it just the treatment of Europeans that provokes this level of concern in His Majesty’s government, @HFalconerMP ?
Hamish Falconer MP@HFalconerMP
Today we summoned the Israeli Charge d’Affaires over the appalling video posted by Israeli Minister Ben-Gvir and to express our concerns over the treatment of the flotilla activists. Our staff in the region are working to help British nationals get home.

@BBCr4today An absolutely disgraceful disgusting conflation of two different things!
English

@DanCardenMP @LabourCND Astonishing that he didn't resign before being sacked. Starmer should go too, but the establishment rallying round Robbins is a disgrace! Ppl sjould actually read The Guardian reporting. theguardian.com/politics/2026/…
English

@DanCardenMP @LabourCND There is so much wrong with this but the worst two things are first, that we KNOW FOR A FACT that he misrepresented the vetting advice in his evidence. And second that your logic implies that we should STILL not know this! He took all of us for mugs not just Starmer.

@BBCPolitics She is so breathtakingly stupid that she asks a question highlighting her own real or pretended misunderstanding of the deal, money, inflation, basically everything.

"Will the prime minister put the billions saved from Chagos [deal] into defence or is that going into welfare?" Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch asks
PM Keir Starmer responds by saying the government is spending "record amounts on defence"

@SaulStaniforth But they are lying! Just cos they are in a union does not make them any less privileged or their demands any more unreasonable. Would you support a CEO strike if they unionised? It is a totally absurd position. Zero solidarity for the 1% in waiting!

Resident drs want a deal to restore their pay after a decade of Tory cuts. Wes Streeting says the BMA is trying to fleece #BBCBreakfast viewers
Streeting is supposed to be an MP for the party of organised labour. In reality hes your typical right wing anti trade union politician

@gaz_manley @JAMESNICHOkqpc @mtpennycook There is still no net loss of rented properties, even if that were true. And there is nothing that would discourage a decent landlord (although that is obviously a contradiction in terms) from selling anyway!
English

@Boring1111111 @JAMESNICHOkqpc @mtpennycook No, it’s the small landlords selling up, the ones who own 1 extra property, who care about who lives there and kept rents lower.
They then sell to the landlords who own multiple properties, who don’t give a shit.
English

Too right it does.
In 26 days' time we will:
✅Abolish Section 21 ‘no fault’ evictions
✅Introduce periodic tenancies
✅Limit rent increases to once a year
✅Ban rental bidding & rent in advance
✅Make discrimination against renters who have children or receive benefits illegal

@JAMESNICHOkqpc @mtpennycook One fewer rent-seeking parasite! Sorry
English

@JAMESNICHOkqpc @mtpennycook Where does the property go? They sell it. One more homeowner. One fewer renting household. One less rent-seeking parasite. Win, win, win.

@ITVNewsPolitics Genuinely one of the stupidest people in politics. Pretending not to understand that a pound today is not worth the same as a pound in 2125! 🤦♂️

"The fact that Jewish people gather, Sikhs, Muslims gather in public to celebrate... isn't a threat to our nature as a Christian country."
The Bishop of Kirkstall disagrees that a public Muslim prayer event was an attempt to "assert... domination" over Christianity.

@cashandcarrots @LukeTryl If people want to spend that much on defence, just increase taxes! War bonds would decrease cost of borrowing, but it is still (extra) borrowing. I just don't get the "this is necessary, existential even, but I won't pay 1% more of my salary in tax" argument.
English

@LukeTryl Irrespective of whether 5% defence spending is affordable or not, it may well be necessary. Maybe "war bonds" could make a comeback?
And, worth reflecting on this too

The "Narva People's Republic" now has a flag, a coat of arms, and a Telegram network. Ukraine saw this playbook in 2014 – now it's appearing in a NATO member state. The same "People's Republic" branding that preceded Russia's Donbas occupation is targeting Estonia's border region. euromaidanpress.com/2026/03/17/nar…

Party splits are interesting
Labour voters are most likely to think Govt could subsidise bills and only group where a majority think 5% defence spending is affordable
Majority of Greens back UBI as affordable & that the govt could forgive loans/bail out struggling universities.
*(People sometimes ask how the all can be higher than the party votes, it's because lots of non-voters say don't know)
