Hi all, just sent out this post. Trump and Putin tried very hard to corner Zelensky and put him in a terrible position. In return he has shown that the best way to deal with both bullies is to stand up to them and dont play by their rules. Its a lesson Europe must learn now.

Always remember Trump is not looking to make a deal, he’s not mediating between Ukraine and Russia, he’s not going back and forth, etc. He wants Putin to succeed and would be more than happy to see Ukraine suffer.

Got some stick about this post this morning, but would say it’s proven to be exactly right. European leaders have been humiliated (once again) by their pandering to Trump. And this time they have boxed Zelensky in shamefully.

Just sent out this post. Trump is one of the worst negotiators in foreign policy history (as his deal with the Houthis shows). When it comes to Putin, he has already given away the farm, so that Putin’s negotiating floor now is higher than the ceiling would have been with Biden.

Putin is getting real concessions. Ukraine is only getting what any sovereign state is entitled to receive. Also, Trump makes his sixth threat of sanctions on Russia but Steve Witkoff has a private meeting with Putin. Which do you think matters? Finally; Russia does not want a ceasefire? Really? It’s amazing how the Kremlin narrative spreads.

I sent out this piece yesterday. Trump's final plan is basically Russia's plan, which would legitimize Russian conquests and provide Russia the best possible situation in which to rebuild its military--while giving Ukraine nothing. Europe needs to stand with Ukraine now.

Looks like this Trump tweet was pleading aimed at Ukraine to get the Ukrainians to accept a deal that he has worked out with Putin. The deal is a Putin dream. Ukraine must legally hand over Crimea, gets no occupied territory back and is barred from NATO.
