State of the art medical equipment will then be installed to treat heart, kidney, cancer and other serious illnesses, paving way for the elevation of the Hospital to a Level 6 National Teaching and Referral Hospital by next year. Across Meru County, rural electrification is ongoing to connect 26,500 additional households with electricity at a cost of 2.4 billion shillings. 21 fresh produce markets are under construction including the gigantic Gakoromone Modern Market to be built at a cost of 1 billion shillings once the relocation of traders is completed. Tarmacking of rural access roads at a cost of 39 billion shillings is ongoing while upgrading of Meru Town roads will commence shortly at a cost of 3.7 billion shillings. After inspecting some of the ongoing projects in Imenti North Constituency, held a public sensitization event at Tuskys, Meru Town, to update residents on the status of various Government Programmes and Projects. With Meru County Governor Isaac Mutuma, Deputy Governor Linda Kiome, Imenti North MP Rahim Dawood, Kenya's Ambassador to the Netherlands Halima Mucheke, MCAs and thousands of residents.
