One of the simplest questions in the domain industry has become one of the hardest to answer. "Does this seller actually own this domain?" Answering it means logging into DNS, adding a TXT record, waiting for propagation, and hoping everything was configured correctly. Meanwhile, the registrar already knows the answer.

@GostobeTech @afternic Sometimes, buyers who appear to be confused aren't actually confused—they've simply made a mistake while filling out the inquiry form. I mention this because one of my "confused" leads later turned out to be a serious buyer and purchased the domain at a later date.
