I don’t think we pause often enough to consider just how kind God is. He’s far more loving, gentle and kind than many portray Him to be.

You don’t need anyone else’s permission to slow down. Resist the urge to conform to the fast pace of society. Rebel against it. Everything is not urgent.

Hello, September. I will now officially be slowing down. I’ve put in hard work all year. Time to “lock in” to hibernate and let my nervous system ease into the end of the year.

Learn to rest and reflect on all you’ve already accomplished. We don’t have to be in grind, grind, grind mode all the time. The year is flying by. Have a gentle landing to it these last few months.

We start the year chasing goals. We check in as we enter the 2nd quarter to remind each other to lock back in, and we do the same halfway through the year.

Why do we need to lock in for the -ember months, go hard and finish the year strong? Why can’t we hibernate, slow down and end the year softly?

I’m only paying attention to people and things that I like. We exert way too much energy on people who attempt to disturb our peace, memories that taunt us and things that cause us stress. We get to choose where our attention goes and where our energy is spent. Choose wisely.

Being the curse breaker is not cute. It can be costly. It’s going to require you to be uncomfortable, misunderstood and often talked about. You’re not just going against the grain, you’re going against principalities that have been running rampant for generations.

Jesus had 12 disciples and even one of them betrayed Him…but look at the eternal impact of Christ’s obedience. He was in full alignment with the Father.

Stop waiting for likes and shares to affirm that you did what God told you to do. You don’t have to go viral to be impactful. A great following isn’t necessarily a sign of obedience just as a small following isn’t a sign that you’re out of alignment with God’s will for your life.

You are loved. Your presence is felt when you enter rooms. Your absence is noticed when you aren’t around. There’s a cashier who looks forward to when you put gas on your favorite pump. There’s a waiter who loves serving you when you dine. People care about you. You matter!

Whoever is feeling they’d be better off de*d, that they wouldn’t be missed, that no one notices or cares…please know that God sees you. He woke me up to tell you. You are loved. You matter. You have purpose.

God sees more than just your shortcomings. He sees your heart and He sees your effort.

We say “God sees everything” often in response to wrongdoing. However, the beauty in “God sees everything” is that He also sees every time you try, every time you make the right decision even when it doesn’t feel good, every time you give it your all even if you miss the mark.
