quick update from me - I’ve been sent to the prison where they send youtubers for high crimes against the internet, specifically the Weirdo Wing. I have much yet to learn from them.

Isn’t he trying to learn metal bending this whole season and it’s not working and instead unlocks lava bending which would technically follow the same principles as metal bending? Do you guys consume media with your heads up your asses and your ears full of shit?

In contrast Bolin runs toward a lava flow, SHUTS HIS EYES, stops it, pushes it back, cools it down, and says the equivalent of “well that just happened.” No training, nothing. He didn’t even know he could do it, and he does it perfectly, with his eyes shut.

It’s 100% akin to Waterbending because they are altering the State of Matter of their respective Elements.

His method just didn’t click with Korra at the time due to her nature of fighting, he trained her in the way of an air nomad and Korra isn’t that, she’s the avatar and not all airbenders are air nomads. How much hand holding does the story need to give you?

@BornTooSin @TuxedoBat @ryscir Because he was wrong and the story says so. His form and meditation and lessons were all completely useless since she won with hard punch to create air bending, and he had to admit that pro was more effective than traditional bending
