Tower Ladder 3 delivered Santa, Mrs.Claus & Elves to the Shriners Hospital for Christmas in July. Every July for 24 years the BFD Burn Foundation looks forward to this day. The smiles they see on the children faces are unforgettable. Thank you to the special doctors & nurses.

There will be fireworks at Fenway Park for the concerts July 7, 8, 10 and 11 weather permitting.

Both Deputy Doherty and District Chief Carey addressed the media. 11 people are displaced and 1 child has been transported by BEMS to hospital. BFD-FIU are on scene to investigate cause. Redcross is on scene to help with emergency assistance

2nd alarm companies have departed and 1st due fire companies are packing up. Detail companies will be left in place to monitor hotspots.

Exterior operations are in place. The roof has collapsed and companies have setup a collapse zone around building. Ladder ops have water on the roof that was inaccessible from inside

Approximately 8:45 am companies arrived to fire showing at 1 Maple St. The building was evacuated and the 2nd alarm ordered.

BFD has enjoyed sharing the resilience of our city for the 250th year of our country. From a quiet lawn, to packed anticipation , to an emergency evacuation for passing lighting & rain and finally an amazing show of talent with a drone show & fireworks!! Happy safe fun July 4th .

The Archbishop of Boston Richard Henning blessed a new state of the art vessel into the Boston Fire Marine Unit fleet. The boat named Martin Pierce, dedicated to FF. Martin Pierce Sr. & former Fire Commissioner Martin Pierce Jr. for their leadership & commitment to the BFD.

Thank you to BMC(SW) Christopher Robb & the crew of the @USSConstitution for allowing the Boston Fire Department Technical Rescue companies to train on the Constitution. This training was invaluable , especially with the Tall Ships returning to Boston in July.

Fire Commissioner Rodney Marshall held a moment of silence to honor the bravery and remember the sacrifices made 32 years ago in Charlestown by Lieutenant Stephen Minehan of Ladder 15. May he rest in peace and always be remembered.

Promotions were held today at Memorial Hall, congratulations to Lieutenant Geoffrey Curtis and his family. All the time spent studying has paid off, stay in the books keep up the ranks.

There will be a fireworks display at the Fenway Park concert tonight 6/22,( weather permitting) and also tomorrow night 6/23.

Today our department bows our heads in honor of the 9 firefighters who gave their all in the collapse of the Hotel Vendome 54 years ago today. RIP brothers…

The Boston Fire Marine unit responded to a fire on an @MBTA ferry that was off of Castle Island. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire, and the passengers were safely off loaded on to shore.
