Just as predicted. Hurricanes Helene and Milton have stirred up nitrogen rich cool waters from deep down (called "cool water upwelling") that is now causing widepread algal blooms of this neurotoxin. This one is particularly bad for humans and deadly for many sea animals. I expect to see lots of dead fish washing ashore soon if not already. These are the long term effects of tropical cyclones traversing that area.

I don’t care what anyone says, the blind subclavian central line is a very powerful one—especially in trauma. It’s becoming a lost art in the era of ultrasound, be we should never let it die.
