Now that we have a more complete view, we wanted to provide an update on our NG-3 mission. While we are pleased with the nominal booster recovery, we clearly didn't deliver the mission our customer wanted, and our team expects. Early data suggest that on our second GS2 burn, one of the BE-3U engines didn’t produce sufficient thrust to reach our target orbit. Blue Origin is leading the anomaly investigation with FAA oversight to learn from the data and implement the improvements needed to quickly return to flight operations. We have been in steady communication with the team at AST SpaceMobile, we appreciate their partnership, and we’re looking forward to many flights together.

@scott_m_powell @philliplyle410 I agree Scott. I met some of their employees today and I can say, they believe in Abel and are committed to see this through. If today is a failed launch, that did not happen because of ASTS. I’m more confident in success now than before this weekend.

You guys should actually buy some shares so you can attend and mingle vs trying to parse sound bytes from the event. Everyone is very careful not to speak out of turn but the level of confidence and comradery amongst the AST employees speaks volumes about how the mission is going.

Abel apparently states a 45 satellite goal at the launch event, and some are spinning it to say it's a reiteration. The official guidance is 45-60 in orbit by EOY as stated multiple times by the company. @scott_m_powell Amazon, Google or SpaceX. Highest bidder wins. I would only consider selling at this point if I knew my manufacturing issues and or lack of launch options were insurmountable by me and my current team. If I knew I was going meet launch targets, and I was healthy, no sale.

@CatSE___ApeX___ I’m lost as to why US Gov hasn’t at least pushed for FCC constellation approval and lean on SpaceX to help w launches to help ASTS, help them. Seems like that would be quick, no cost, support.

USA is upgrading 8 ground based fixed site missile defense radars for a cost of ~250 Milion each or 2Bn USD. It would buy global radar coverage from space if invested in $ASTS satellites instead. (Radar that can’t be killed by 8 cheap drones launched from pickup trucks nearby.)
