@NikkiVed1974 @thearmchaircom @robert_burnier That used to bother me too. Now I use the Lifeguard Rule (wish I could remember where I first read it) Lifeguard blows the whistle and yells “No running!” Everyone hears it. But is it really directed at YOU? And if not, do you then go up to the guard’s chair to complain?

Since the White House is scrubbing senile grandpa Trump’s gibberish, here’s a few highlights from his speech to West Point cadets this morning. Enjoy.

Come to the dark side with me. Trump may have played his cards too recklessly and too stupidly, and now he’s one wrong step from falling on his face. Do you know what I’m talking about? Speculate if you have the nerve.

Friday tradition - Memorial Day edition: ending the week with some shared joy. Tell me something good. What good thing happened in your life this week? Wrote a book, read a book, booked out of work early - all are just fine. Just something good.

The Wife's Bestie here. It is with a heavy heart that I must report that Victoria passed away yesterday morning. It was a gentle and peaceful ending to her long fight against cancer. She loved her X community and I hope she will be remembered here. Please remember her in your prayers.

@cottrell_bret @AdamKinzinger Imagine in the level of bullshit republicans will eat when this blows up! Letting the families of cartel immigrate to the US. Can’t make this up. Shocking level of hypocrisy from Miller and Trump.

I love that Pope Leo XIV's first private meeting with a world leader after his inauguration was with President Zelenskyy. I bet JD Vance is seething. Was Donald even invited to the event? 🍿

@ArtCandee @Belgariadion the delusion must be real because ive watched this clip twice and i dont see in any indication the pope shooed them away. does bias really run that deep to affect the psychological mind to process things?

The way Pope Leo XIV just shooed JD Vance and his wife away with a single hand gesture telling them to move along is hilarious. 🤣

The first slaves in America weren’t African, they were Irish. Men, women, and children were sold, starved, and worked to death. Their suffering was buried for centuries. Here’s the dark & forgotten truth about Ireland’s hidden history of slavery:

@BellKimberlea @JBrooks02 Look, I have 3% Nigerian, that means I have an ancestor from the late 1700s that was enslaved. I would love to know something of theirs survived that I could touch. I would fight tooth and nail to keep it standing. So as not to erase them. To keep their memory alive. JS.

@emilykmay Funny, but I've been married twice and I've never had a woman take care of me like I was a child. On what planet does that happen?

It’s 90 degrees here today&quite humid. I’m dreading the Florida summer. Thinking about getting summer home2relocate2annually. What’s good place where the summers are mild, political atmosphere&cost of living are moderate and there’s no weekly hurricane threat? Colorado? Oregon?

@notcapnamerica Congratulations to your mom! I dropped out too, when I had my first child, and going back & finishing my degree was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. Kudos to her!

My Mom had to drop out of college to take care of me and my brother. She put her nose to the grindstone and built several successful companies from scratch with just hard work and street smarts. Today she finally got her degree at the age of 58
