@Alexandr4Denman This is standard from the police now. First thing they do is tell you, as the victim, that if you post what has happened to you on social media, they will arrest you.

Dear @SurreyPolice I have just been sent images which purport to show the suspects from the gang rape in Epsom. Can I DM them to you for verification. No one is going to be shocked, if true.

This message was sent to me last night. At the time, I was speaking at a Rape Gang awareness event hosted by the very brave Fiona Goddard. Omar Sharif, is a key member of the Labour Party campaign team in Oldham, naming me in a group chat he wrote: "The guy has a serious problem with Muslims especially Pakistanis. Let's just say he's been addressed." His associates approved it with a thumbs up. This was not a response to anything I published about Oldham. It followed my interview with the New Culture Forum, where I detailed how the biraderi rig elections and control politicians and my encouragement for people to attend an event hosted by a rape gang survivor. Go and have a look on my timeline, I have said almost nothing about this May's local elections in Oldham. That is what prompted a man connected to Arooj Shah and Labour networks in Oldham to tell his contacts I had already been "addressed." Addressed how, Omar? Is there a hit out on me? Are some of the Glodwick Boys going to come pay me a visit? Have me followed me home again? Preach a sermon at the mosque against me? I want people to understand what this is. The rape gangs, the heroin networks, chicken shop cartels and the Labour politicians are not separate problems. They are the same network. The biraderi does not distinguish between the rape gangs, drug dealer on the corner and the councillor in the chamber. They protect each other. I name them. That is why I get "addressed." I will not be silenced. I have faced arrests, smear campaigns, and coordinated harassment for eight years. Every attempt failed. I am still here. Men like Omar Sharif do not scare me because I have seen what they are underneath the threats. They are cowards who have spent decades relying on a captured police force and a compliant political class to keep the lid on what they do. That lid is off. The phone numbers in this screenshot are visible. The names are visible. The message is on record. They post this openly because they believe they are untouchable. They believe Greater Manchester Police, the force Andy Burnham has shielded from full accountability on rape gang cover-ups, will not act against them. They are probably right about that. They are wrong about everything else. Every threat like this one gets published. Every name gets shared. The people are my protection. As for Oldham Council leader Arooj Shah and her network of Pakistani criminals, I'll see you all at the election count. Despite your threats, we have Reform candidates standing in every ward in Oldham. The people of my town are mobilising. Despite your best efforts, democracy is not yet dead in the town. We know who the real racists are. __________ I’m Raja Miah MBE. For seven years, I led a campaign that exposed how senior Labour politicians helped protect Pakistani rape gangs. Seeing my wife Sinéad & my son James in emotional agony is the hardest thing for me as a husband & father to live with. I was meant to be there to protect my daughter Grace. The fact I wasn’t there to protect her is something I find very very hard to continue living with.

Six days ago this did not exist. 1,909 people built it from nothing. Ordinary people. £5, £10, £20. People who understood exactly what McMahon did and refused to let it stand. We need 100 more. Please. If you have ever believed this work matters. If you have ever read one of my pieces and thought someone needed to say that. Tonight is the night to show it. crowdfunder.co.uk/p/raja-miah-mb… This case does not just matter to me. It matters to every one of us who relies on independent voices to hold power to account. If powerful politicians can make allegations of this magnitude, present them as confirmed by official reports, and never have to prove them in court, they will keep doing it. We are stopping that here. Please, if you are yet to do so, help me fight back for all of us. Raja 🙏

I *completely & totally* understand the fury & concern of the protestors (I share it too). I can’t stop thinking tho, that something about this Epsom situation just doesn’t quite seem to stack up. (And I don’t mean for the obvious reasons…)

@0Calamity Well put and the guidelines for releasing the details of a suspect are clearly laid out in The college of policing guidelines for dealing with the media.

The police are under no obligation whatsoever to inform the general public of the progress of a live investigation. Why? Because if media (and social media loons) get hold of the wrong suspect's ID and details and spread it around, not only will it impede the police investigation, but it will also potentially ruin the life of an innocent person. In extreme cases, even if they have identified someone that police believes is the right person, publicity can be so overwhelming that their defence team could argue that there is no possibility of that person ever getting a fair trial as a result of the pre-trial publicity. We have "innocent until proven guilty" as a concept for a reason. Tommy the Sniff ended up being convicted of contempt of court in 2019 for interfering in trials, not just once but after he was already warned that it was dangerous to do so. This is what the High Court said about his case: - His online publication of details about the criminal case involved a breach of a reporting restriction order imposed under s4(2) of the Contempt of Court Act 1981. - The content of what he published online gave rise to a substantial risk that the course of justice in the criminal case would be seriously impeded, thereby amounting to a breach of the rule of contempt law known as “the strict liability rule”. - By aggressively confronting and filming some of the defendants in that case as they arrived at court, he interfered with the course of justice. He has set a trend in the UK of a) virtually any numpty with a phone and a blazing rage about something now calling themselves a "Citizen Journalist" with no training, no qualifications, no accreditation and, crucially, no understanding of journalistic ethics and rules and b) "Citizen Journalists" believing their own nonsense so much that they think they deserve to be told whatever they want to know, again with no concept of the damage that might do to the investigative process or the subsequent legal process. The police will issue CCTV and/or details of the Epsom suspects when it is safe to do so for the purposes of their investigation. Going on social media to rally the troops, turning up at the police station in numbers, blocking and lobbing projectiles at the police will not make them change their Standard Operating Procedures just because self-declared "Citizen Journalists" who don't know their arses from a hole in the ground believe they have a "right to know". Finally, and most importantly: have any of you self-important self-entitled men thought for a minute about what your actions would do the victim of this terrible offence if, through your behaviour, the investigation is impeded or a trial collapses? Of course you haven't. Because your "right to know" and "right to publish" as a self-appointed "Citizen Journalist" - and above all, your determination to spread racial hatred - is all that drives you.

@0Calamity By not giving descriptions or more information, the police themselves are making the town unsafe. Have you not learnt anything from Southport? Just because you are a lefty barrister does not mean you are correct.

Helen Maguire MP's statement on the horrific gang rape outside Epsom Methodist Church is a masterclass in political deflection. The community is rightly furious and demanding basic information: suspect descriptions and CCTV updates. Instead of backing the public's right to know and pressing police for transparency, Maguire condemns "disruptive protests," damage to vehicles, and "intimidation" while lecturing residents to stay calm, avoid speculation, and let police "take their time." Priorities seem backwards: more concern for orderly policing than for women's safety or community trust. Peaceful protest isn't the problem here — the failure to communicate openly after days of silence is. Residents aren't "dividing" the town by asking questions; they're demanding protection in their own streets. Epsom deserves better than vague platitudes. #EpsomRape #JusticeForVictim

It’s all kicking off in Epsom right now. I don’t blame the residents for wanting answers from the police. A gang rape of a woman outside a church and NO DESCRIPTIONS for 4 DAYS 😡 What’s more important ? A)Not inflaming community tensions by admitting it’s (probably) immigrants B ) Preventing rape of women and children?🤨 Answers on a postcard
