Check out our latest in ACIE. Here we show that high microporosity in PAFs is associated with efficient coupling reactions that generate few defects. This insight has implications on the design of new, potentially more scalable, approaches to these remarkable materials.

Our solution was to adapt classic nickel mediated electrophile coupling conditions to the unique challenges in synthesizing these polymers. We now use this approach to make these materials on >1g scales without the need for a glovebox (Schlenk line still required). 3/4
